Stansport Non-Seasoned Cast Iron Dutch Oven, Flat Bottom

We have a wood burner and needed some kind of pot for water so we could put moisture back into our home as the burner dries the house out so much. I ordered this and am so happy I did. Its huge so it holds a lot of water and it works exactly like I was hoping it would.As for cooking with it, I can not say bc we only use it to hold water for steam on our burner.Quality is awesome. Super heavy pot also!

This thing is HUGE. The quality of the cast is not perfect and there is a significant amount of laber cleaning off the protective coating which seems to be a thick wax or cosmolene substance. After cleaning, it needs to be seasoned which again takes a significant amount of patience and time. Once all set up, this thing will last many lifetimes.

Quality is good and seasons well but there is only one handle, not two as shown.

Pot arrived with corn kernels in the bottom and dirt all over

Pot missing one handle makes pot sit lopsided, so not really usable. Will cost more to ship back than to keep broken pot. One handle that is on is put in holes backwards. Very disappointed

Easy to season in the oven but I recommend doing it in warm weather when you can have the windows open. Care for it like any other cast iron pot. Very heavy empty so be careful when it's full. Cooks great.
