This seems very dangerous. Any amount of any kind of plant in the Allium genus should be avoided as plants in this genus are toxic to cats and dogs. This includes garlic, onion, scallions, shallot, leek, and chives and many other plants less likely to be in a kitchen. All parts of the plant at any stage of development and in any form (minced, juiced, , dried, powdered, chips, etc.) is toxic to cats and dogs. Small amounts that may not appear to be harming them can be accumulating in their system until it reaches a toxic level.
