This is amazing. Does exactly what it should do. Heat is very powerful and would wear gloves when doing it as it gets very hot when using the scraper at the same time. I didn’t get the same as some peoples reviews where they say when u turn it off it stays on for 1 minute to cool down. It turns off straight away, I then leave it on a heat mat to cool when I’ve finished using it. It’s lightweight and easy to use. I would say that if you have more than 2 layers of paint u may have to use paint stripper on it as well as the paint left a stain especially in the grains of the wood and couldn’t remove it with the heat gun. It is brilliant though. Highly recommend, great price too.

Not much to say really. It does the job and does it well. You get a range of nozzles and decent instructions that include a settings guide for a range of tasks.Be warned though, on the high setting it’s mega hot, as I found out much to my distress when I passed it from one hand to the other and grabbed the nozzle by mistake. I still have the scars!

Works well when in use, useful attachments & a nice free standing function. I'm not fond of not being in control of the off switch & having to allow the gun to switch itself off is not something I'm use to nor seen before in previously owned heat guns. I understand the reasons & mechanics for a cool down period which makes sense. One needs to bear its cool down period in mind as off doesn't mean off with this gun. I would have preferred a dead switch to be in control of the 240v supply. Be it an extra click on the trigger or a separate switch to isolate it's 240v supply. But if one bears its cool down period in mind, you'll be ok, just be careful where one puts it for it's cool down period.

The item arrived next day which was great although I have found a couple of issues. This product does not have 3 USABLE heat settings, it only has the standard 2 (high/low). The third setting they describe is only for a cool down period of 60seconds when you switch it off (to cool the motor down). It is NOT an actual sustained workable temperature.This brings me to the second issue. After using solidly for 20minutes at a time on the high setting and switching it off to the "0" position I found the unit shut off like a regular heat gun and not go into the cool down phase.Overall the gun gets the job done with the 2 settings and not many guns have the cool down period anyway so it is working like a regular gun and as I'm in a hurry to use it I shall not return it despite these 2 issues.I paid nearly £20 for this gun which I think is a fair price for the quality. However don't be fooled by the original £100 price tag it advertises as it supposed to be. This unit in no way warrents that price and they only put that price tag there to lure people into thinking they are getting an absolute bargain.

Have used it for a number of jobs over the last 6 months on the low setting (drying surfaces before gluing, heat shrinking, etc) but not yet used the hottest setting. I have some vinyl tiles to remove in the coming months so will revise the review should it not perform.Seems well made and is a good design, especially like the way it sits on its end which is very useful for adding heat shrink to wires.Pleased overall.

Be careful, after 21 months from purchase, the off (position 0) trigger switch no longer turns it off. I have to unplug it to stop it. It heats very well, and very hot. But this is dangerous!

I bought this heat gun for a couple of projects on my boat. The first one was replacing all the pipe work. This heat gun works perfectly loosing the pipes from the fitting and getting the new ones in.I have few more projects coming along, like replacing wiring and epoxing the galley counter and I think it's going to be great help.
