Great big fish reel
Great big fish reel, the 2 speed feature sets this reel apart from the others. Avet also makes a really nice 2 speed reel of this caliber, but I could not get one in the same amount of time, and we were running off on a 7 day trip in a few days, so we decided to try this reel. Great for the dropper loop for larger 30-40LB Yellowtail, no problem reeling them up in low gear.

Seems a solid little reel. I have been using a 40 lb topshot over 60 braid. I not been able to get into one of those big Bluefin so it hasn t really been tested, but works fine for Yellowtail etc. Really like the small size and light weight for throwing jigs.

Tuna killer!
Bought this to use for 30-50# west coast BFT. Great reel! Light weight, very smooth in both cranking, shifting and drag, awesome free spool. Holds 500 yards of 50 # solid spectra. Going to buy another.

Light Weight Tuna Killer
I wanted to wait a while before I posted a review. I've owned this reel for 3 years and have used it for fly-lining sardines and jigging for yellow fin and blackfin tuna. This reel has performed flawlessly and other than a quick rinse after each use, it's required no maintenance. The drag is powerful and smooth- 30# tuna are no match for this tiny reel. When I buy a new reel, I open the reel up to make sure it's properly greased at the factory, etc.- this reel was perfect right from the factory. I have the reel spooled with over 400 yds of 50# braid and add whatever top shot I need. If you're considering a high end reel with a moderate price tag look no further. This reel is as good as my other reels of different brands with much higher price tags. I expect this reel will give me many more years of trouble free service.
