It is latest offering from Samsung, I have not seen a Samsung in this line that is newer, this was introduced in mid 2012. The other camera similar to this moddle is the NX20 20.3 Megapixel Compact System Camera but appears to have more features and is few dollars cheaper. I made a mistake in the above information. There is a new Samsung it is the NX300. Very little information online. I checked a couple of WEB site and it was not listed for sale on those sites.

Q: The biggest caveat I have in considering this camera is the fact that there is no pop-up flash! Is this a problem for anyone?

I have always just left the flash that comes with it on it is a pop up and works fine in auto modes

NX300 has a different body-style. It is brushed metal with a colored hard plastic in-lay. NX 210 has a hard black plastic body. NX 300 has the tilting LCD and touch screen, but it is the same size as the NX 210. Other than this, specs are the same. You will have to perform a firmware update to the NX 210 out of the box that will give you the same firmware that comes standard with the NX 300 out of the box.

Q: What kind of viewfinder can you get for it?

There are no electronic view finders for it. There is a Samsung EVF but it is only for older models.
