Third Installment Goes That Step Further...
As a 17-year-old girl, I somewhat ashamedly took my younger cousin to go see this. I must admit that I did enjoy the previous two and own both on DVD and so it was no surprise to me that I'd enjoy the third enstallment of the film. What surprised me was how much I enjoyed it. The step-up in practically every area that the cast and crew had made from TV to Cinema. The songs were just that bit more professional - and so a little less annoying - the acting, although not perfect, was a lot better and a lot more real feeling than that of the other two. The chemistry between the cast, in particular Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron, shines throughout the film, making it just that bit stronger. The dancing, Wow. They covered so many different styles and I think just about every cast member looked a lot more professional and at ease with the routines. So what should have been, considering its target audience, just on the right side of mediocre actually was a really decent film that I truly enjoyed and was just a little bit sad when the final curtain closed.I think it helped that the cast was a bit older and that the event they were covering was the end of the 'High School' era - having just left my secondary school myself and going different ways to those I knew there, I could relate to at least some of what they were saying and signing about - which I couldn't with the other two so much.Liking it so much, I took my mum to go see it too. She's not so into the films although she has seen the previous two too and she too, like me, came out of the film having been impressed by the third installment. As that final curtain closed on what was an impressive end sequence, I couldn't help noting that the decent songs, brilliant dancing and memorable characters were still in my mind - as they were for the rest of that day. By moving to Big-Screen everything was just taken up a notch and so, by doing this, encountering a new audience and a much deserved, Good Review.

Brilliant! Not just for the kids
What can I say? As my kids are grown up and this is a Disney production it REALLY wasn't my cup of tea. I happened to see HSM1 on TV and to my great surprise really enjoyed it. I watched HSM2 and enjoyed it even more and yes found that HSM3 was even better. Don't listen to what ANYONE else says, watch it for yourself.Don't be put off by the 'its cheesy' brigade, its Disney for goodness sake! Enjoy it for what it is, an entertaining and engaging musical. Its appeal goes right across the age spectrum. The story line is as eternal as any love story. The acting is excellent, these really are talented kids. The songs are so catchy, very memorable and professional and the dance routines are just so eye catching. What more can I say but give it a try, don't let all the prejudice against it (which I have to admit I originally had myself) stop you. What can I say? Fantastic! Not just for kids, give it a go, I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I did.

The kids like it
He kids enjoyed watching the film and remarked that it was not quite as good as the first, which seems to be the case for most sequels with the exception films such as Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings. Entertaining and would recommend.

HSM3! Whoa!
I've loved HSM since the UK premiere on the Disney Channel of the first one. Ever since, HSM 1+2 have been a film I turn to if I want to watch an uplifting and happy film, which makes you forget about everything else. HSM3, is a totally different story! The first outing to cinema screens, and, it was bloody amazing! The dances, songs, the set in the songs (especially I Want It All and A Night To Remember). I saw it on the Wednesday, and then on the Friday, and hopefully more. I just can't get enough of it as it is that amazing. It is full of emotion, some laughs, and is just 2 hours of innocent fun which everyone will enjoy, even parents who hated the first 2!Overall, amazing, and better than Mamma Mia! 5/5

DVD as 2nd disc with Bluray
Ordered this for the kids last week, thought I would get it on Bluray as the price difference was only a few pounds. So glad I did the second disc in the box is the Movie on DVD, so now the kids have a copy on Bluray at home and a copy on DVD at Grandma's, excellent value as you get 2 copies. I'm 36 and I must say the film is well produced, edited & directed for something that is aimed at pre teens. The kids love this series & the 3rd installment doesn't disapoint, its also a great Bluray transfer compaired to the humble DVD. If you have a blurayI suggest you buy it in this format, even if it is for the children, its a very colourful and well balanced Disney bluray at a reasonable price.

The entire attitude to how people treat each other is horrible. The society this film reflects is a place ...
My son, who has Williams Syndrome, enjoys the music and that is why it was bought. My view of the film as such is a very problematic one. The entire attitude to how people treat each other is horrible. The society this film reflects is a place I hope neither myself or anyone I love will ever have to try to live in.
