Top Notch Country Style Book !
I am a country decor book "addict"; I have around 200 books. I just received this book today and could not wait to skim through it. This book will certainly be in the TOP 10 of my collection. I adore cottage, colonial, Cape Cod, coastal and farmhouse house decor, this book gives you a little taste of all of those. I was so excited to see some of the same furniture items and decor accessories that I also own displayed in this book in such a new and lovely way. Now that I have skimmed the book, I will devote many hours to reading it and re-visiting the lovely photographs that make me so envious of those homes shown in the book If you love comfortable country style this book will not disappoint.

A very beautiful book! One of my most favorite design books ever!
This lovely book is so much more than the "coffee table" book you might expect! It is large book, 9 1/2" by 13", and is beautifully presented with lovely text, great advice & suggestions & SUMPTUOUS photographs. Through their blogs, I was already very familiar with Nora Murphy's lovely home, Amy's gorgeous romantic Country French home & Tessa Foley's charming & beautiful home (a favorite of mine for years - so nice to have photos of her home in print now!). One question: Why did the stylist decide to turn the Bosporous Toile pillows in Tessa's dining room to the reverse beige side?! I miss them!! LOVE, LOVE this book & would recommend it to anyone with a love of decorating details. Something for everyone: primitive, country, romantic French style, an appreciation for textiles & blue & white! I know I will return to the beautiful pages & prose again & again.

I wish I could give it 10 stars. Excellent book
Before I begin, I have so many expensive design/ country home books and this personally is the best by far. For once, I got a brand new book for less than $17. Not $35, not $45 and not used etc. It tells me the author isn't greedy. Love that.In reading the book, I sense the author to be very humble and it is something I like stating how she began. I know some of the reviews said, the book isn't detailed enough nor tells you what to do but what the writer is trying to say doesn't need to spelled outright word for word. You get what she is trying to say by pictures and the homes shown. Why I gave it 5 stars and would give it a 10 if it were available. This is one of the rare books I can actually follow. I bought a small house in the country here in CT and as a single home owner, I quickly found out paying landscapers and what not is not something sustainable long term. So I bought a lots of books, watch YouTube videos and started. Before the house, my realtor said I was crazy for buying it and my friends said, you are always welcome to sleep over just incase. The place was a forest and the house was terrible.Little by little I started working every weekend. One neighbor said you are going to get sick cutting trees, spreading gravel with a bucket and what not. Mind you, I am a petite woman.. but I kept going. Then I started noticing the cars stopping to stare at my house, random people telling me they couldn't believe what I'd done to the crappy place etc... So much cars started stopping I freaked out and got a fake security sign just incase...Gist of the Story..It is books like this that inspire people like us that are not affluent. It gives us ideas that can be tweaked to make our own homes the country homes we all envisioned. Not too fancy nor too shabby either. Just perfection.Thank you Nora. Loved every minute of this book and looking forward to more.

New England/Seaside/Country Style Treasure Trove!
I am obsessed and have amassed a very large cache of decor books, especially American, English, and French country. Brimfield, flea markets and antique shows are my primary source of decor in my home. This is probably the most beautiful, useful, fresh decor book I own. Beautiful photos, nicely curated homes (chapters) with familiar faces, including the Textile Trunk dealer from New England Motel at Brimfield, Nora Murphy whose beautiful Connecticut home is the subject of her blog and Instagram feed, as well as Amy Chalmers of Maison Decor blogger, shop owner and Instagrammer.

Beautiful photos and great price
Beautiful book. Large. Quality photos. Great design. Price was great based on size, number of pages. And quality. Has dust jacket and binding matches the photo on the dust jacket. Comes sealed in plastic. Mainly photos but a nice coffee table book or to peruse for inspiration. Just not much to read.

Beautiful pictures and narrative.
I am a longtime follower of Tessa Foley’s blog, and Nora Murphy. I preordered my book as soon as I was able, and I am so glad I did. Nora did a beautiful job on her first book. The photography is inspiring, but so are the words. I am not sure if I have ever read a decor book? Nora tells a lovely story of each of the featured country houses. This book has heart. I am so glad to have a copy. I find myself picking it up often. It’s a winner!

Just Pretty Pictures
This book has very pretty pictures, but no substance. When I order a book like this, I am expecting practical tips and hints about how to decorate my home. This had a brief chapter at the beginning about how to style country, but the majority of the book was pictures of accessories one might expect to find in a country house: one page had a giant picture of roses, close-up; another had a giant picture of sea coral, etc. There was no meaningful text beyond the first chapter--just pictures as I just described. There are a lot of expensive "how-to" decorating books like this, with no real explanations or tips or help, for that matter. A rip-off as far as I'm concerned. If you are very affluent and have a lot of fresh roses and giant sea coral, etc., hanging around, you might like this book.
