I bought this for my 5 year old son, who is a rather big boy. He is right at 50 lbs and it seemed most similar products capped at 50 pounds. This supports him without any difficulty. In fact, sometimes he wants to swim under the water and gets frustrated because it takes such force for him to get under and then he pops right back up! It's easy to get on when dry but takes some wiggling to get it off/on once he's wet. That makes me feel good though, knowing that it's super secure. He is able to practice swimming but it does limit his arm motions, so if you're looking for something specifically to help your little one for example during swim lessons this might not be it.

Really had high hopes for this vest. I liked how the arm bands were attached. Ny son is 2 and 30lbs. This vest is too big and he's a big kid for his age. It did help my kid float but you do need to be right by their side because they will flip forward or backward. The shoulder straps kept sliding down when out of water and the arm floats were around his wrists. I don't know what size this is actually appropriate for but it's not 30lbs.

Great fit, quality, price and durability

The media could not be loaded. This Jevdes swim vest is made of quality materials and has very vibrant, colorful graphics. Unlike similar vests, this one goes over the shoulder as well as the upper arm, offering greater support and better flotation. It also prevents the sleeves from sliding down the arm. One great feature, which you can see in my video, is the clasp has a double lock. You must squeeze the clasp with two fingers and release the safety button with your other hand. No way the clasp will open accidentally while playing. Great feature. This is one of the best vests of this style and is very comfortable for your child. Great product at a great price!

However tight I pull the straps the float pads slip at the back, I think because the stitching doesn't come close enough edges and it makes the whole thing a little loose. So my toddler ends up with the float up around he's neck, the arm pads stop it being totally unworkable, he stays afloat and still has fun but I'm constantly fiddling with the back and retightening.We also didn't get the print design we ordered which I was a little disappointed about. All in all I'd look else where when buying again for his little brother.

My son is 10 years old and has special needs. He weighs 52 lbs. The other brands only go up to 50 lbs. and are too tight on him. This one is great because it goes up to 60 pounds and it fits him! We have to hold him in the pool as he cannot swim independently but this helps us to hold onto him and keep him afloat. So happy I found this brand that is larger for bigger kids!!

She didn't mind it, felt secure and comfortable in the water, with the adjustable fit it should last for a year or two))
