Good drive for the price.
Fine good drive for the price. Works well with all types of DVDs (including some scratched ones). Works quietly too. Included with drive was a red regular data cable and software cd.Tip: no need to install the software that came with this. Works out of the box.

Product not up to the mark
The media could not be loaded. I am a big fan of LG products but this DVD writer disappointed me. When I installed it on PC and clicked on the open/close button, the drive tray automatically opens and closes repeatedly untill I switched off the PC. I didn't expected this strange behaviour.Pathetic product, doesn't recommend at all.

Works as expected
Doesn't need any additional software to work. Uses SATA for power and connectivity, and ships with one included. I haven't tested read/write speeds but I used it to install Windows 8.1 on a just built PC and it worked flawlessly.

It is a very good DVD writer.Been using it for more than a month.its really fast in reading and writing.i haven't encountered any problems with this till now.All of you out there looking for a good low cost DVD drive you can get this.For 1000 its the best one out there.

I received a manifactured defect product. Sent back
Lg brand is good but some times there could be manufactured defects. Plz look and check ASAP Before its too late.
