Coraline- Neil Gaiman
Coraline, by Neil Gaiman, is an amazing book, taking you through a journey of love, friendship, mystery, adventure and horror. The delightful descriptions of Neil Gaiman and the wonderful illustrations of Chris Riddall help the reader transfer into Coraline’s world while she faces the hardest challenge she has ever came against. I would recommend this book to 9+ kids and Adults.

Lovely book
With Halloween around the corner I thought it was time for a spooky read so I settled on Coraline - a book I should have read at least 10yrs ago . Well nevertheless here we are , reviewing a children’s novel that felt soo matured and eye opening for adults themselves. ! Don’t believe me…?? Here are quotes that I read , re-read, pondered over and loved !!“ Because,' she said, 'when you're scared but you still do it anyway, that's brave ““It is astonishing just how much of what we are can be tied to the beds we wake up in in the morning, and it is astonishing how fragile that can be.”Coraline who loves to explore things gets stuck indoors on one rainy day only to discover another house with another set of parents in another world right behind a locked door at her new home ! Who are they and what are their intentions? Will life be the same anymore for the brave courageous and kind hearted Coraline? I loved finding answers to these and I bet you will too.. I went in knowing nothing and really enjoyed it ! This book is quite short and can be read in one sitting but whether you will read it only once in your life is something I doubt cos I definitely see myself re-reading this soonEven though this was a middle grade kind of fantasy I loved the beautiful story and lovely little Coraline herself ! I plan on watching the movie adaption over the weekend.

Loved , loved it.
Coraline, this book is mainly meant for middle grade students. So, never in my life had I imagined that a middle grade book can also send shivers down my spine. But one should never underestimate Neil Gaiman and his capability. He's a magician. I finished this book yesterday but even now I can't stop thinking about Coraline. That itself speaks a lot, doesn't it?Book review:Coraline loves exploring. Her new home is filled with secrets. Her neighbours are weird. But then, something calls her through the door that opens into nothing but a wall. One day, Coraline walks through the door which suddenly transforms into a passageway and opens up into her another home where her other mother and father are waiting for her to join them. Her other parents want her to stay with them forever, for Coraline is too clever and adventurous for the real world to take in. Coraline finds things fishy and decides to venture back into the world where she originally belongs. Things get disrupted when she finds her own parents missing. Her other mother has kidnapped her real parents for she loves Coraline and wants her to stay with them. But, things are not as easy as the other mother thinks it to be. Coraline is a brave girl who is always up for challenges. Coraline will fight back, no matter how bad things turn out to be.I loved loved the book. The fantasy world where Coraline walks into, is appealing and appaling at the same time and did I mention how stupendously brave Coraline is? Grownups like me should definitely take lessons from her. If ever there is one character whom I get to choose from the fictional world as my best friend, it would definitely be Coraline. My rating - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

Slipping in and out of dreams
Another Neil Gaiman book... Easy to read, with his usual mastery over transitioning realities. More for children, this book reads like dessert for me. Brief and enjoyable.

Thank God for literacy
Book review- Coraline by Neil Gaiman⠀“Being brave does not mean you are not scared. Being brave means, you are scared, but you choose to act anyway.”⠀These two lines can sum up the theme of “Coraline”. Our lead character is a small girl who’s name was the result of a misspelling by Neil Gaiman.⠀She moves into a new house where there are the odd neighbours- Ms Spink and Ms Forcible and an older man who claimed he was training a mouse circus. She discovers a door in the house which leads her to a realm of an alternate reality...an alternative set of parents. The parents here want to love her but have buttons for eyes. There’s a sarcastic cat who can talk. Coraline discovers that the button-eyed alternate set of parents are evil and have trapped many souls before. Her real set of parents are confined to. Can Coraline rescue the souls?⠀As I read more and discover about Neil Gaiman, I feel the magic he can weave to create a sense of warmth in the reader's heart. The stories are highly non-sensical, but the characters, their emotions and journeys unforgettable. On various occasions, I smiled ear to ear reading the account of Coraline’s journey.⠀Touted to be a children’s book, Coraline leaves adults with much to marvel and ponder. The highest compliment I can pay to Neil Gaiman’s writing is that he inspires me to write; write more and write with simplicity and unabashedly. God bless literacy!
