Q: Does this mount directly to the trunk lid or do you have to have a luggage rack and it mounts to that? Can you send more/better pictures?

Mounts directly to trunk of 2018 and newer. The pic shows 2 products, the top rope light that I did not purchase but understand fits behind the passenger back rest, and the lower V shaped trunk lid light I did purchase.

Q: Is this a kit of two lights as shown? Or just the top light? Or just the bottom light?

The Trunk Light is just the bottom light while the top light is the Tour Blade light sold separately.

Q: will the trunk light fit a 2022 honda Goldwing

No, but Goldstrike does have a Trunk Light that works for the 2021-2022 which is p/n 48025

Q: Do i need any installation kit for this led light?

The Goldstrike lighting requires 1 plug n play harness (48000) to do up to 4 of their lighting options. That is the only item required. Thanks, Niehaus Cycle Sales
