Product is worth for money but Installation experience not good
I got the AC in 40k in Bank offer. Hitach is quite a reliable brand in AC.Positive point is that it has warranty of PCB 3 years overall unit 2 years and compressor 10 years.Unit doesn't have temperature display that's bit disappointing but it's okay you can have it on remote.Remote is small and handy.Free installation was provided but Installation technician from Hitachi was offering installation charge of Condeser Stand 350 rs as I have ordered it from amazon but if you take it from him in 750 Rs he will install it free. Very illogical but you have to buy it from him only which is negative as per me.Cooling is quick in my 150 sqft room and noise level is low. Only two way airflow is there.

DO NOT BUY HITACHI AC ,PATHETIC SERVICE,PATHETIC ATTITUDE
First of all description in Amazon says copper wire will be available where as it was not, we had to shed extra money for this. We had raised request to return this but after some negotiation we did not return which I regret now. We had bought AC in Oct 2018 and considering Bangalore weather we rarely used until Feb 2019. After using for a month(until then we were happy as cooling was fast and was covering the pathway as well) we faced issue it stopped working and from that point on we are experiencing such pathetic service.Have raised request with Hitachi service via App on 31st of March and till date it is not fixed. Call center is very quick in picking call and assuring technical team will call today but today has not happened till today. Actually there is no connect between Hitachi Service call center and actual service unit. They will put call on hold only to tell us Technical team will call, they have put request on priority. In App there is an option to escalate, which will only waste time further as nothing happens with that as well.Pathetic service and the vendor they have are very inexperienced first a technician visited did wrong analysis and told new mother board is required which need to be imported from Gujarat and took ages as if it is coming from Germany and then later as in two days back another technician visited to let us know first diagnosis of issue was wrong problem is in the motor of FAN.Strong recommendation not to buy this AC model at all such pathetic service,even in warranty period then how to trust in long run.Do not go by brand name as it is just name but has no value.

Overall experience..
Product wise experience is good, and do not have any issue on ac ,but installation experience wise it is very pathetic, all the ac manufacturing company provide installation facility through third party vendor model and these third party service is worthless, unprofessional and they charge like anything. All the ac manufacturing company know the actual fact, all the manufacturer have simiilar business model. So indian ppl have to bear it as they do not have choice.

Good AC with "WORLD WORST" installation services Engineers and Service centre
Quality of AC is very good but service centre in mohali "RANGI COOLING SOLUTION" are worst service provider trying to steal money in the name of charges not covered in free installation and giving threads that if charges not paid then warranty cover and free yrarly services will not be provided and much more. Just trying to harsh customares amazon and hitachi should remove such service providers from their team as these kind of service provider put the hitachi brand in low points. I'm giving five stars to AC beacuse everything in AC IS PERFECT but installation team are worst in the world.

Product as advertised. Happy with Hitachi's Service for the moment
The 5100X works as advertised. I just got the device installed 72 hours back, hence, not in a position to comment on energy efficiency at the moment. I'd like to point out that Hitachi offers top quality assistance here in Kolkata. My device arrived exactly 7 days after I'd placed the order, and the installation guys showed up within 48 hours. If you're buying a 5-star AC you should know that Hitachi offers free installation. The installers charged me Rs. 900 for the ODU stand, Rs. 300 for 'insulation' and Rs. 300 for the drainage pipe, at Rs. 30 per meter. I know it's a scam, but I didn't want to create a fuss over Rs. 1500. If you'd like to save some cash I recommend buying an ODU stand from your local market or Amazon, and a 16V male socket for the IDU. The installation went smoothly, or so I thought. The problem started once the installers left. The AC started switching off automatically. I called up Hitachi and they sent a technician over within 24 hours. The guy replaced the PCB on the IDU, which sorted out the 'auto-cutofff' immediately and fixed a minor gas leak on the IDU, and refilled the refrigerant. The AC has been working fine ever since. I'm satisfied with the product and Hitachi's service for the moment. Will update this thread after a few months.

AC is good but the installation process and technician was unexperienced.
The AC is performing good and it is excellent product, but the way the installation was done was horrible experience. The technician appointed by Hitachi was not from the company he was from some local person who deals in AC was given this. Its really a cheating with customer by brand like hitachi i never expected this , i was confident that it will be installed by brand technician.The man was an unexprienced and the way he was installing i thought he will definately damage and it might be lets see..The person was asking for charges for installing and took more than the price for stand and outlet water pipe.The company must some give additional warranty to deal with this ..I must say that Amazon have to also look this matter seriously and it is creating a bad experience to their customer.Now i have to think before purchasing electronic item from amazon.Its really a worst experience from last few orders..
