I find that twisting and pushing from the bottom to the top of the wick holder is the easiest way

Can you use paraffin with these lamps

You need to use a very high quality paraffin so you dont get smoke and smell. Indoor lamp oil is highly refined paraffin

Help impossible to thread wick through once it’s swollen with oil not fit for purpose?

if you accidently pull the wick out, leave it overnight to dry out and then wrap a small tringle of selotape around the top (like a shoelace) and rethread.
