Patio Pacific Thermo Panel 3E -Endura LARGE -- painfree install, durable, and my Malamutes LOVE their freedom~!
This is my 2nd Endura patio doggie-door, purchased because of my first from 7 years ago and used virtually hourly continues to serve without problems. Though I have Alaskan Malamutes that run 100-130 lbs, and 25 to 33 inches at the shoulder (one Giant Mal), the Endura LARGE works, and I am amazed at how fast they can torpedo themselves through the 10"x20" opening. Endura cautions you about their Jumbo, probably suitable for Pyrenees or Mastiffs or any really broad shouldered canine. Even so, my barrel chested Mals do fine.Pros:Installation is quick and easy. From receipt of the carton to final install took me about 1 hour of leisurely puttering. Good instructions. The insert arrives assembled.Adjustment of the step-over takes some effort to loosen the frame stiles (verticals) screws, but once done this step-over adjustment is easy. I have the max (7.5") step-over so my Mals do not need to squat through the opening. The Endura Flap seals nicely, even during our occasional strong mountain winds. The sealing magnets are adjustable, up to a point. Patio Pacific website offers short videos on this product. My original Endura flap, while dirty and dog abused, still works and seals fine, never an issue. Replacement flap kits available from Patio Pacific.Included insulation is sufficient for a good start at sealing, great adhesion IF you clean the surfaces as directed, common sense.Cons: any and all patio door inserts means that the sliding patio door does not mate with the fixed side, and therefore leaks air. The enclosed vinyl insulation strip (1.5"X8ft) to help mitigate this is... fair, but I have found nothing that truly seals.I used the included 3/4" foam-roll insulation to seal the insert top/bottom/side opposite the sliding door.I recommend insulation of both surfaces where the insert and the sliding door mate, but not the thick foam style as the opening YOU pass through is narrower and this foam does not survive people traffic long.Consult a knowledgeable hardware store for insulating ideas, then find what works.

Awesome dog door, worth the money
So easy to install. Took less than 30 minutes. There were no instructions included in the box which I thought was a bit odd, but I figured it out pretty quickly. I would have liked a little bit of instructions at least for the first part.I used regular weather stripping to seal up any cracks and made it completely airtight. The actual door flap is super durable, and closes quickly and securely every single time the dogs come in.I have a malinois and a Rottweiler and they both fit through the large size door. This product is awesome. There are cheaper options out there but I’m glad I shelled out the extra cash and got this one. I don’t have anything bad to say except I wish there had been instructions.

Best Quality Dog Door available.... But a process
4 stars for the overall process.... 5 star for the door itself. This door is quality and worth the money. It has worked flawlessly through the hottest summer in AZ history and I have had 0 issues with it.Reason for 4 stars though is this was my second door I had to order. The first showed up half built/disassembled and packaging was a disaster. So much so I actually said I didnt want to deal with a company that would send this poor of quality item which had clearly been returned and I opted to switch and ordered a different door. When you're returning a 50 lbs door the whole process of getting it to UPS and boxing it back up is a hassle... nevermind the lengthy refund process since the door $ is over the threshold required for review. But when the other doggie company door arrived the quality and sturdiness was cheap so I returned it and risked ordering this one again. The second time I ordered the packaging was still not adequate for the weight of this door resulting in a small dent.. unfortunately right where the two piece slide together. To avoid the return process for a third time now I fixed it myself which took a bit of work but eventually got them aligned and together. The install process is a piece of cake, two pieces and a quick bolt tighten and the door is together. I did purchase additional door insulant and the stuff provided wasnt going to withstand the AZ heat... more personal preference for something I plan on having long term. 3 months in and I love the door, as does my pup. Also love having the locking door blocker for security.Long term the quality choice will be worth the month and probably save me the difference in electricity bill alone. Having the magnetic flap actually does seal and is a nice touch.

Spendy but sturdy
Just moved to new house and had to make arrangements for three dogs. This is sturdy. I splurged because I don’t want to replace anytime soon.Previously had HiTech electric dog door which was the absolute best. That style won’t work here, so this comes in a close second. Is it worth the cost? I’ll let you know in a few months.

Excellent for my Mr. Pickles
I have a 40 lb Australian Mountain Doodle (@realmr.pickles) named Mr. Pickles. We live in an apartment on an upper floor and have a small balcony. We set it up so he could use his grass potty pad on the deck and have free access to his area in the tv room. We live in Wisconsin and haven’t suffered with the cold bc of this door. We are using the extension flap and did order that and more weather stripping from the website. Highly recommend this door. Made potty training a breeze. Easy install. Did it all myself. He used this from 16 weeks on.

It is very expensive but it looks expensive when it's installed next to new white vinyl Andersen sliding patio doors. Installation was almost too easy. Got to tweak some of the insulation but that's not surprising. The door itself is heavy duty the insulation problems have to do with the gap left between the two Andersen doors. But this is totally expected with this type of installation. Now, it's been installed since Saturday... one dog, Aussie, young has no problem with this door. The old Australian cattledog (who the door is for!!!!) is being obstinate. But that's the breed and he had gone through it he just wants me to stand there and hold the flap.

Worth the money.
This door is great. It was really easy to install and is well made. Should be much warmer when the temperature bottoms out.

The only problem is I can't exit to the back yard. When my dogs steal my shoes I have to crawl out the dog door. Lol! :)
