Q: IMPORTANT: Lysine bottle pictured reads "capsules" - BUT description reads "serving size: 1 tablet." WHICH IS IT??

I have tried both the 1000mg and 500mg. The 1000mg are rather large tablets which I found hard to swallow so I switched to the 500mg which are smaller capsules.

Q: Are the 500 mg Tablets about 1/2 the size (thickness) of the 1000 mg Tablets?

I've never seen the 1000 mg tablets. I just measured and the 500 mg capsules are 1 inch long and 1/4 inch in diameter. Hope this helps.

Q: How big are the pills

They are tiny....if you are a horse. If not, have a tall glass of water ready to wash them down.

Q: Are these in capsule form? I've tried the tablets and are too hard to swallow, but sometimes when the bottle says capsule it is in actualilty a tablet

The bottle here says tablets. I purchased capsules. I also purchased the powder. The capsules were capsules. Easy to swallow.

Good quality Lysine, good value

Lysine helps my mouth, generally. I take extra when I have chapped lips or if I have a cut in my mouth...it really seems like things heal a little faster when I take this supplement. I've been taking this supplement for many years and have noticed no side effects at all. I had previously used this same brand of Lysine in 1000mg format, but the individual pills were just too big for me. I love the 500mg size, they are much easier to swallow and work just as well.

L- lysine is Great for Shingles

L-Lysine works far superior than the prescription meds for shingles. At the onset, take a few, and within a few days it is gone! The pills are large, but they are not too difficult to swallow. Halfing them may be more advantageous for some individuals.

NOT Capsules. They’re tablets. Lysine is always on hand.

I take lysine to prevent cold sores when I’ve eaten something I know causes them, or to make them not get big and to go away quickly if I do feel one coming.These are tablets though which are harder to swallow for me. I ordered because it said capsules. They’re not.I’ve used NOW brand often and these were packaged nicely and received quickly.
