As a pcos sufferer I was dubious about this but I have really noticed a big difference in facial hair growth. Easy to use and not too painful at all. Highly recommend.

PCOS facial hair!! If you suffer this you honestly need this machine! I had bought a lovedock laser hair removal a few years back, it didn’t do a thing so I was sceptical, I used the Philips lumea last night and no stubble whatsoever this morning, we’re about 12 hours post use and skin is super smooth, I’m shook, and so happy. Usually I’ll start to have regrowth within a couple of hours after a whiz around my face. I will say I struggled with my face shape I have prominent bone structure so the machine struggled in areas like my jaw line, chin and under my chin and parts of the cheek, the sensor wasn’t working as well as say my side burns where the surface area was flatter. No pain at all I’m very fair skinned with darker hair in place and light in others I used level 5 as recommended on the app. Will update after another treatment

I invested in this product back in August following a year of such anxiety with my hair growth due to a hormonal imbalance. This caused significant hair growth even in areas of my face and as I was plucking them out they got darker and grew back thicker! I think I was shaving almost everyday and constantly breaking out in rashes and getting loads of ingrown hairs. I was sceptical about this product and almost gave in to going to a hair removal clinic and paying a significant amount if money, way more than the £299 I paid for this.I have just completed my 4 treatment (currently every other 2 weeks) and cannot tell you how impressed I am. So far my leg hair has pretty much gone. Whilst I am still having the off hair on my face snd still have growth on my underarms and bikini area it is so much less dense and currently only shaving once or twice a week in between treatments. I am hoping a few months months and I will be completely hair free! The results so far have exceeded my expectations. You need to be realistic, it takes time to work and during the winter I find is a better time to start as you shouldn’t have sun exposure during the treatment, but this product is well worth the money. I personally signed up to pay 5 instalments and this is way more affordable and what’s £60 per month for 5 months for the benefit of having no hair! I’ve not bought a single razor, cream and wax pot since and if you are anything like me I was going through a new razor at least one a month if not more just trying to combat the bikini line rashes. It gave me such bad anxiety and going on holiday would be awful knowing my bumps would be out and let’s face it, it doesn’t make us feel good and looks horrible. I haven’t had a single rash since starting the treatment and cannot wait to put a bikini on next summer and embrace how smooth my skin now is. I cannot rave about this product more if I tried. I have reasonably fair skin and dark brown hair so a good candidate for good results. I do fake tan but I try to do this after my treatment, sometimes I have a little residue still on my skin when I do the treatment but this dosent seem to have impacted the effectiveness. The product is safe for use anywhere and is not painful, the app is really good and helps remind you when your treatment is due and what setting you last used. It’s great for tracking results too.

I've used this product or a version of it for some time, it helps me maintain hair growth rather than get rid of it all together btw.. if you want to get ride of hair it's worth saving up for professional laser hair removal.I noticed a crack in my laser attachment, not sure when it happened but thought best to ask for a replacement. The customer care service from Philips is appalling, even if you bought direct. Your account will show no orders or subscriptions despite you purchasing directly. There's broken journeys all over their website and you have to jump through hoops to find the right information they need just to confirm your item. Anyway long story short, they agreed to replace as long as i sent the item back first. This whole process took around 3-4 weeks.2 months into using the new device and the same crack appears, again went through the ridiculously long process of getting a replacement, i post my item back and a month goes by with no new item.Turns out they can't ship replacement parts out now due to EU regulations, no one explained this so i had to chase again about my missing replacement and only then did they offer a refund. Which requires proof of purchase and contacting them again through their broken customer care process. I'm currently sat in a live chat where no one has responded for 15 minutes.. no refund, poor communication process and no way to replace any part of your item if it is fault.AVOID

I bought this item back in lockdown when I was single. I figured I had nothing much to do so might as well leave Covid glamorously - emerge from the depths as bald as a baby. I did one facial treatment.. and stopped. Forgot about the machine for like 4 years.I’ve recently moved in with my partner and it makes it impossible to hide my PCOS beard from him: if you shave it every day eventually it becomes so thick and skin rashes start. Can’t leave it to grow long enough to pluck it both because he’ll see I look like brian blessed but also because it takes a good hour to pluck and that man can’t even let me pee without asking me where I am so no chance I’m going to get a bit of quiet time to pluck my shame out.Bit of a nightmare: will my partner discover my hairy little secret… well no, he won’t. Because I remembered this machine! I’ve just finished my third treatment. After only two treatments, I’ve been able to stop shaving every day. There’s definitely a lot of progress - I have a couple of patches of thick hair where I’ve missed, but not my whole under chin. It takes about 10 mins to do the treatment once every 2 weeks to start. It isn’t very noisy so I just sneak off to my office and zap myself. I have slightly olive skin and dark hair, Ive followed instructions from the free app and done the patch testing and was able to tolerate level 5 straight off. Really happy with it, next up: legs and pits. Just need to find a way and a reason to emerge fabulously now with my hair free body.
