Not sure as to longevity and lifespan for the light as we have not even had it a year but I am impressed for the value and construction of the light for the money.It is a true dusk to dawn light and perfect for an outbuilding.It was challenging to pick something that was appropriately sized without being too industrial or commercial looking and I think this was the right call. As a tip try to pick something that is not too small for your building or garage. Also be careful about your selection as far as “gooseneck” and how far you want it to jut out and away from your building for proper light cast. This might require some measuring.It feels heavy weighted and came packed very nicely.The dusk to dawn feature has worked perfectly so far as you can see in my pictures it is starting to be sunset and the light turned on.We love it. The perfect finishing touch to a project!

While it's true that this light fixture is well made, it feels as though it would last forever, it's also true that it doesn't take a light bulb. It uses a proprietary 'puck'. Although it has a five year 'no hassle' warranty, the side of the box notes that the bulb is warranted for three years. I replaced an old LOA fixture with this one. It was old and worn, but the reason I replaced it was because the photocell had died. In spite of the fact that the fixture has been discontinued, the bulbs are still available. Climb up the ladder, unscrew the old one, screw in the new one. Easy,peasy. So, if I can figure out how to replace the photocell, I will do so. The reason I am making this point is because I had to pay a nice gentleman to install this fixture and whenever the bulb/puck dies, I will have to pay someone to change it out. The other option is for it to join the waste stream which makes me sick to contemplate. So many of the new led lights have proprietary light units and if you don't know if the driver or the leds have died or have no idea where to get the parts for them, they will join the giant US waste stream as well. Most of the light fixtures on the property are more than five years old, so a light fixture with integrated leds which can't be replaced by the user if it dies after five years is incomprehensible to me.Otherwise, the light is placed 12' high, which gives a suitable amount of light for a pole placed in the middle of a field. The 3000K is a little more mellow than the higher K ratings which is what I wanted for this location. I struggled with my decision to purchase this light and probably wouldn't do it again, but it is a quality light and used in a commercial or industrial setting where you have maintenance and electricians available to service these things, I can see where this fixture in multiples would be a very nice design element while embracing the dark sky movement. I didn't deduct a star for this 'temporary' light because I was well aware of what I was doing when I bought it.

Love the quality & construction of this fixture. My husband was in the process of installing this several months ago but unfortunately dropped it & it came down hard! I was heartbroken because I loved this fixture. A month or so later we were in the process of reordering another one but my wonderful son-in-law said he could fix it. He is very talented but I was skeptical. A couple weeks later he presented it to us-in perfect shape!!! You can’t even see where the dents were!Needless to say we are thrilled to finally have it installed. It casts light on both sides of our fence & the light is just perfect!!!I cannot day enough good things about this fixture....attractive, sturdy, easy to install& very durable!!!!

Light works well the only thing is the wall mount is very thin. This is the replacement when snow hit the light and broke the base. Couldn't find a replacement base.

The best feature is the “all in one” or all inclusive light! No bulbs necessary!!! The matte black is such a nice finish & the light itself is heavy duty! We purchased 3 of these for our barns! The light is warm & illuminating! Great quality with a photo cell for automatic on/off night to day!

This lamp was too big for my outdoor space and I waited too long to return it. So I used it in my entry hall and it looks great. Needless to say, I don't need the light sensor using it indoors, but it is very cool looking and gives my home that industrial look. The light is very bright and really lights up the entry hall . I may move back to outdoors when my sunroom is completed since I'll need an outdoor light there. Good quality and good lighting. But it is a big light.
