Q: Is it possible to use the chair without the armrests? (Guessing it is?)

Yes. The armrests are screwed onto the underside of the seat so you can leave them off if you don't want them on there.

Q: How breathable is the fabric? IE on a hot day would you be sweating buckets?

The chair I have is a vinyl type of fabric. I bought it for my son and he is very happy with it and hasn't once complained of being sweaty when using it.

Q: How do I take those caps out so I can re tighten the chair ?

It can be quite difficult, if you have a really small flat head or pointed screwdriver you can prise it out, although you may find the bolts start rounding off when you tighten them again.
