5 Lbs Sodium Hydroxide Caustic Soda Red Devil Lye Make Soap Drain Cleaner Soap Making

Lye is one of the most dangerous things you can buy. It produces harmful vapors, and requires great care.This was well packed, and appears to be pure NaOH as claimed.

A little weird that my 5 lbs of dye came in two not-full containers that were taped together... but whatever. Perfectly good product for my soapmaking, and a great price as well. MUCH cheaper than buying the "drain cleaner" from the local hardware store. Will purchase again.

Disappointed in the container. I ordered this after reading a review saying the product came in a plastic jar/container. Instead the product arrived in a gallon zip-lock bag. Otherwise the product appears to be OK.

Since I can't buy lye off the grocery shelf to make soap, I was thrilled to find it available at Amazon! These came in a protective bottle for storage (last lye I bought was in a plastic bag!) so I bought enough for soap making for the next couple of years. The price was best I could find online!

Excellent product. I love the granulated instead of flakes. Great for making soap. Prompt shipping and received as advertised. Also the price was lower than other suppliers.

For my wife. I was asked to order so that soap could be made. Guess t worked, have not heard anything negative.

My brother bought an older mobile home on a lot. We used the lye to degrease the septic tank. This was followed with a soil softener and a bacteria additive. We bought acid to back flush the main pipe from the house to the water meter. This was accomplished using an air driven neoprene diaphram pump. And lastly, MEKP (diluted), a hardener for Alpac 430 resin which we used as a vapor barrier coating to stop lime effloresence degradation in the concrete pad. All the hard to get good stuff from Amazon. And we got the job done!

I use it to make my own Soap. Works Great for my intended use. Like I said in the title Good Quality Stuff
