Insanely Durable High Quality Balisong Trainer
This balisong is amazing. It looks great, and is insanely durable. Don't listen to anyone else saying the knife broke in a few days. Seriously, I couldn't break this if I tried. I have dropped this literally hundreds of times, and there has been basically no damage done whatsoever. Sometimes I repeatedly pound this knife on a soda can on my desk to flatten it when I'm bored. I would really like to know what those reviewers were doing to their knife that made it fall apart. What makes this trainer special/unique is the fact that the handles are one sturdy metal piece, instead of two thin metal pieces held together by screws. The "blade" is held to the handles by pins that won't come out instead of traditional screws. This may seem like a bad thing because you can't adjust it, but the blade play is near perfect with this knife after a few hours of flipping. Maybe sliiightly little too loose, but nothing to worry about. This knife it a lot heavier and thicker than others out there though, so it will take a little getting used too.In conclusion, this knife is fantastic, and offered at a great price. I would recommend checking out this: Enhanced Black Practice Trainer Training Knife Tool , because as far as I can tell it is the exact same trainer for less than half the price, just in black.

Hands down it's great for safety
Hands down it's great for safety!! Love how I can just keep these lying around without too much worry about someone stabbing themselves. It's a lot heavier than the traditional balisong. After practicing with it for awhile, flipping my real balisong knife feels light as a feather. The product is very stiff out of the box, but after bending it a little it's become much looser and easier to work with. Overall it's great for practice, especially in a more public setting where wielding a real balisong can get you into trouble.

Solid Trainer
This is my first trainer, and I'm quite impressed. The trainer has weight, and it holds well in your hands. Was a tad stiff at first, but after about an hour of playing with it it loosened right up. Once a bit more loose the trainer's movements seem more fluid, and I'm able to do tricks a tad easier. However, it didn't come in the greatest of condition. At first I noticed the bottom was a bit scraped up, particularly the locking handle. Next thing I noticed was that the bottom bumps in the blade, one had been chipped a bit. Lastly I noticed the handle was not a golden metal, it was in fact silver. I'm not a stickler about these things, it's a trainer, it works perfectly for casual trick training, and I prefer the silver handle anyways so 4 stars from me.Bit of extra info: The blade is an Icetek. Despite the blemishes, and different colored handle it is the same blade in the preview picture.

do not buy this knife if you want to learn to properly use a balisong
The locking mechanism is entirely to loose you cannot flip the blade properly because the locking mechanism swings around and gets in the way. With a balisong knife you want the locking mechanism to be tight so that it doesn't move and interfere with your flips and so that it cannot slide to the inside of the of the handle and stop the blade from closing because if this happens on a real knife it would dull the blade. I also got a silver one when I ordered a golden one

Great Trainer!
I love this trainer, from the color to the weight, I love flipping this around! it is a little on the heavir side, making it a little more of a challenge to flip around, which in my opinion is great! I have dropped it multiple times, and it has held up a great deal, with hardly any damage other than a few nicks and scratches.

Works Pretty Well, but Kinda Cheap
The knife movement was very tight when it arrived in the mail. However, it loosened up pretty quickly.I didn't like that the knife closure catch never properly closed over both ends of the knife handle. I thought that this would loosen up as well and allow the knife to be properly closed/stowed away but it never did due to poor quality control and misalignment of the blade handle parts. Also the metal has gotten scraped and dented very easily. I was not expecting this from something that is supposed to be manufactured from steel.Overall my son was able to use the practice knife to fool around and do tricks with, but I wouldn't buy this particular brand again which is disappointing because my son did alot of research on Amazon to make sure he picked out a knife that he would really like.

Decent Balisong/Butterfly Knife Trainer
This butterfly knife trainer is great to anyone starting out, they are fluent, have a bit of weight to them, but they only last so long. After a few weeks of usage, they become very wobbly. I'd recommend this, but be warned, as they wobble after some usage.

Great for starting out
loved it. I've had it for about 8 months and works great the only thing that you have to be aware of is the pins that get a little loose which I've had to hammer back in once or twice, but besides that it has been really fun to use.
