Q: is states this made of glass?

The one I ordered was metal! Never heard of it being made of glass as surely it would break whilst in use?

Q: Hi does this work with Songmics drafting chair please?

Not sure what a drafting chair is ! My office chair is a Songmix and it worked perfectly in it. If your chair has a piston style centre support ,then it should work as those are all pretty much standard diameters top and bottom . It ids a matter of finding your own way of removing the old piston from the seat bottom.

Q: The 3"_1.2in listing, is it for the cylinder with the additional taper that allows it to sink further into the base or just the 'regular' shaped one?

It is as pictured; there is a very slight taper beyond the obvious one at the bottom end, but I doubt that it would allow deeper seating because of the very obvious lip.
