The first Tuttle packs I bought were awful, shiny paper that cracked on some creases. These are much better. I did not notice any pronounced odor, noted by some reviewers. The images are beautiful, and the contrast side color is more pleasing to me than the contrast side color of many Japanese or Korean papers.The thickness is perfect for the type of modular boxes that I like to make, neither too thick for multiple folds nor too thin, making it liable to tear.I have used this set for some time now, and I wanted to modify my original review to say that it is my favorite set of origami papers bought in the US and Japan, over a period of 30 years.Excellent value for the money.

Create great origami with this paper

I purchased this paper for origami toys I could use as stuffers for origami puzzle boxes I make. The price is better than I could find at local stores. They have a variety of patterns and colors. I am pleased with the purchase.

Integrity

Beautiful papers that fold nice, but they have a very strong smell. Even months after purchasing, I don’t love folding with them because the smell is still strong.

Too bad I commited to folding cranes from this paper since so much of the beautiful designs get hidden. I like the mix of both vivid and muted colors and the solid colors on the reverse. Easy to fold without tearing and true to square. Even cranes come out beautifully.

I bought this for the kids I work with and they love it! This even got ME into origami! Beautiful papers with some fun origami instructions included. Well worth it.
