Q: Will this antenna work with an older non-HDTV?

No! This does not work on any TV. They make more on shipping and handling this piece of cardboard.

From my understanding if it has digital capabilities it will work. I'm not well versed of this stuff but do know the TV has to be able to process the digital signal. The one TV out of 3 I got it working on states on the front digital along with 1080 HD, HDMI, and DTV the other 2 did not mention digital. Hope this helps.

Q: how long is the cord, and how does it attach to window?

About 8 feet, attaches with suction cups to window. I replaced them with hooks and hung from bakers rake , pulled in 5 extra channels. Love my clear channel antennas
