MXLMics Microphone Mount (MXL90), Black

Works great on my Warm W-47 tube mic. Not as in the way as the one that came with it. Kinda hard to find one that fits the larger diameter body mics. Pretty well made too.

Works perfectly for any mic the same size as the MXL 990. Its an all metal construction and it even comes with extra elastic. I use my mic in the upside down position, and it doesn't slip or fall out. It holds nice and tight. just a few reasons why I like this mount. first, its not as bulky or heavy as some mounts I have seen, and it is universal for mics the same size as the 990. It is also rather inexpensive. 5 stars from me, and money well spent!

Perfect shock mount for my MXL.

It does fit my Neumann TLM 103, but the screw broke the first time I used it. I had to go to a hardware store and get a new screw, washers, and a nut. We'll see how much it lasts now that I have to use a screwdriver every time I want to adjust it. Cheap materials. Not recommended.

Basically this is an economy product so I review it as such. No frills, just does the job. It doesn't look expensive, because it isn't. Not that it looks cheap either, but it's nothing fancy.As far as function, it performs flawlessly, it fits the MXL-90 perfectly and holds the microphone securely. I assume that the vibration damping is typical of the breed.I'd have preferred that the handles which are used to spread the mic clamp to stick out in a different direction, but that's just a cosmetic issue really.3.5 if I'm being really picky, but I gave it 4.

I have used this shock mount for my condenser microphone when I record for about 4 years now. It is a quality piece of hardware that lasts for a long time. It is easy to install and easy to adjust, and it holds the microphone securely and does it's job. There is only one minor problem: You have to tighten it higher than you want it because when you put the mic in the assembly will fall slightly. But that is a minor complaint for a low-cost shock mount. Recommended for project studios on a budget.

I use mine for an MXL large diaphragm condenser. Well worth the money.

I've gotten a couple of these at this point (the first one was broken by me, my fault, not the mount's) and they're great! Solid quality, and, color matches to the MXL 990. Will not work for MXL 990 XL.
