These plates look great. No chips, solid, like a rock but extremely porous. Nice cheaper Amazon buy. Preforms great out of the box, you can see all the bubbles coming out as you put them in the tank. This tells me one thing, they are very very porous. On the same level as Icecap and Brightwell etc..

Great product, doesn’t fall apart.
These are very solid and sturdy, but in a good way. They are very porous, but they are not brittle. They keep their shape, and they don’t crumble. I like how flat they really are. I stacked them up and use them as a way to lift the skimmer up in my sump as well. Makes a great stand, and it’s functional as well. Would recommend and buy again.

product wasnt what was pictured ,it was not GM or grey color and one was chipped
Products should be what is pictured and not chipped or dammaged .It says clearly GM and is light grey not tan and with out GM stamp .It also came with a chip gash

Not brittle, value for money
I can only assume that this is doing what it claims as far as housing my beneficial bacteria. I've had it in my reef tanks sump for about 6 months and it's still intact and I have not had any ill effects from having added it.
