It worked great during my trip
I needed a flash drive for my iPhone 14 for use during a two week trip. It worked great and I was quite pleased with how easy it connected, transferred my trip photos to the flash drive and enabled me to delete photos from my iPhone to free up storage space. Four months later, it no longer connects to my iPhone. I checked online for solutions and tried everything restarting the phone, deleting and adding the app back, cleaning the connection port, and other recommendations. Nothing works but since the primary purpose of purchasing the flash drive was for backing up all trip photos, it did it's job.Update: I read an article about using a toothpick to remove debris from the connection port. Tried it and was able to remove very fine lint. Connected the flash drive and it immediately copied and transferred. Changing my rating to five stars.

Was skeptical but very simple to use, and it worked perfectly!
I have been having issues trying to transfer about 6,000 pictures from a recent trip that were taken with an iPhone 12 Pro. I tried iTunes, Windows 10 Photo app, accessing the photos directly with File Explorer and all failed at some point. The only suggestions I found that would work is only copy over a bunch at a time and I did not have the patience to do this for this many pictures.I found a bunch of "Photo Sticks" on Amazon that seemed too good to be true, then I found the SanDisk iXpand. It arrived within a day, and I immediately plugged it in, and it prompted me to get the iXpand app. Quick and easy, it opened right up and went through a brief 4-step tutorial. However, the app is super simple with only two taps to start copying over your data. For smaller numbers of photos, it will take much quicker to copy, however, for me to copy over 6,000 took alittle over 20 minutes. Which after all the wasted time and frustration it was well worth the wait. Once done I plugged in the USB into my computer and all my photos were there! Finally!!I usually never write any reviews and usually also take them with a grain of salt when reading them. This item really worked, was made by a known name brand and was reasonably priced. I would recommend this to anyone even if you have a bunch of files or photos you want to get off your iDevice without paying monthly iCloud or now Google Photos plans or just for a backup this SanDisk would work great! Hopefully this review will help if someone is either on the fence about buying this or is in the same situation with a large number of photos off an iPhone/iPad that actually worked and was painless.

Easy - solves storage issues on long trip
This does the job - on long trips, was running out of space on my iPhone. I'm not a fan of buying storage, so was looking for another solution. This device does the trick - easy to use with the reliability to expect from SanDisk. You plug it in - gives you some instruction where to get the app (i recommend downloading the app before any trip you take) and the app directs with the rest. After some typical set up (like allow all photos, etc) you choose the photos and done - gives you the option to delete the photos off your phone. Easy Peasy. But the biggest benefit I didn't expect is how much easier it is to transfer photos to my computer. I'm a PC user and it seems to take forever to transfer my photos and videos (especially when there's a lot) i tether my phone to my computer directly. This device saves me on that time - i just transfer the photos over via this dongle, and then i put the dongle into my computer - easy transfer. Other benefit is - it doesn't tie down my iphone any more.Only con of this flash drive is the rubber cover only "protects" one side of the drive. either the USB end or the lightning end will be covered, so there's risk of damaging it if you just throw it anywhere. I have a small pocket in my carry bag so it's not an issue, but just a warning in case you just want to keychain it or throw it around. It does the job - and gives a ton of storage - and honestly makes it easier to transfer photos to my computer vs the nightmare of plugging in my phone directly.

Make sure it’s compatible
Unfortunate that it wasn’t compatible with my phone. It wasn’t until I received the product that I saw it only went to iPhone X. I still stand by sandisk products and it seemed a quality product, just didn’t work with my phone

Great for watching my digitized movies
I originally bought this because I didn’t want to fill up all the space on my iPad through iTunes Sync. I wanted to be able to carry my digital movies with me so I could watch them wherever without having a to carry a bulky portable hard drive along with me everywhere I went and worry about it getting damaged. Well, even though I can’t carry my *entire* collection with me on here (it’s only 256GB), this little device fit the bill nicely. I easily filled it up with enough movies and TV shows to keep me occupied for days (if only the iPad battery would last that long. lol!). It also makes it easy to transfer other types of files between my computer and iPad without always having to do a “sync.” What I think I like most of all though is the iPad app you can download that goes along with this device. It’s kinda pricey but to me it’s worth it. I spent a lot of time embedding information in my digital movies when I was creating them from my DVD collection, like adding the graphic covers, synopsis, actors, etc. even creating the .srt files so I could turn captions on and off if I wanted. The SanDisk iXpand app allows me to view my .mp4 files on the stick and actually *reads* the metadata I put in the file (so I can view it just like it would look if I had purchased and downloaded the file from iTunes). That’s a big deal for me. Generally you would only see a screen from the movie (not necessarily a title screen) and a file name out to the side and that’s the only way you could tell what movie you were about to watch. But with this, I can actually scroll through my movie covers instead of reading a long list of filenames. Best of all, I can spend time on long trips or waiting in long lines, etc. and not have to be dependent upon internet access, wifi, cellular, or whatever to be able to watch.
