Item received in plain cardboard box (which was more than double the size of the coolbox. It did have plenty of protection around it.However, that and the fact the item wasn't in display packaging makes me wonder if this is actually a second hand coolbox.I ran it for several days and the drinks I put in it got nice and cold.However, I turned it off and checked after about an hour. It appeared to be back close to room temperature. This was in the kitchen with no heating being used during the time.I bought this to use when I'm marshaling at Motorsport events. And because I no way of freezing ice blocks. As most use will be during the summer. I have my doubts that it will maintain a low temperature for an adequate length of time when switch off.It would not be a good idea to leave it running while I'm away from the car. And in some cases I would have to carry it with me as I may have a long walk to my location.Time will tell I guess.

I plugged to my power station, both 12 v and 230 v works fine. When works with 230v use less watt and works with eco mode too. When you use with 12 v spends more energy and only works max mode. Works fine cold enough keep food fresh and cold

Bought this to use in the van, so only the cigarette lighter plug used, keeps things cold, fits nicely in the cab, but to big to be opened in the cab. Little noisy but if the radios on you hear nothing. Well worth buying for the summer!

I have had a Mobicool box for years, alas the 12 Volts electric system “packed up”. So I decided to replace it with the same make and comparable model as I have been pleased with the cool box in the past.My initial response on receiving and checking the cool box is that it does not compare as well as my previous box. It lacked the sturdy construction I have been used to with my previous box. It is disappointing and annoying to find the cables do not have a storage home within the construction of the box, unlike my previous box which housed both cables in the lid of the cool box when not in use. Obviously it is a cost issue for the manufacturer to accommodate the cables in the box. It’s not difficult to have such provision.The instructions with the unit are poor and someone unfamiliar with using an electrical cool box could easily be confused. Again it’s not difficult to provide clear and unambiguous instructions. Suggestion to the company, give the cool box to your “Mum” with your current instructions and see if she can easily work it out without having to ask you. If she asks change your instructions.As for durability and long levity of the cool box, only time will tell.

The coolbox is excellent it will be used for carrying eye medication. It has already been to France and performed perfectly

We had an earlier model of this box, which lasted us well, however, the handle broke off, it didn't stop us using it but was a pain .So upgraded to this model. Very lightweight, sturdy and I like the dual functionality of it. Either mains powered of by 12 volt , great for keeping things cool even when on the move , tall enough to store wine or fizzy pop bottles, upright. and when camping we use it as a overflow fridge. Well recommended

The cooler works on main electric. But when we tried to use it in the car the plug fitting did not fit in the car cigarette lighter plug So it is only good for use in the house.
