So far so,good. I bought this to convert a gas lawn edger to an electric battery operated unit and I am still working on it but I feel I can write a helpful review. First for more information go to the manufacturers website. I operated this unit at 12v, 24v, and 36v. I ran 12v batteries in parallel and so far my only problem has been finding the exact style switch I want in 36v. I ended up using a 125v switch from the hardware store. I mounted this using (4) 8-32 screws in the motor plate and connected a pulley to drive a belt. I couldn't find a pully that's 1/2 inch bore with a key way. I'm still looking but I'm not sure why it has a key way. This motor is really powerful, I think I could have bought a cheaper model instead but it's too late. The motor feels really high quality and just an fyi the wires are aluminum not copper.
