Best basic slicker
Out of all the slicker brushes I’ve tried and I’ve tried several, this is still my go to for almost all coat types. I’m a groomer. The ends of the bristles are polished and that’s what makes a huge difference. Fluffier fluff drying results in shorter amount of time. On the softer side but sturdy enough for dematting. Pricier but worth it. With proper care it lasts for years, and that’s using it every day.

I have been using this brush for 15 years
I originally bought this brush to use on my poodle but have been using it for my own hair. It works really well, my hair is fine and has static electricity when I brush it with a bristle brush, I don't get static electricity when I use this. Over the years I have had friends that were curious about my brush and have also purchased this pin brush to use. The great thing about it is, it doesn't have 'knobs' on the end of it to pull the hair. The first brush I bought is 15 years old and other than the gold lettering on the handle rubbing off from daily use, it's just like brand new.The only reason I bought another one is that I thought I lost it so I bought another. Of course a week later, I found my original brush and now I have 2, which is not a bad thing

So expensive yet my cats love this pin brush!
This particular pin brush is my cat's favorite and I have no idea why. It is comfortable in the hand and I have 2 blown thumb joints and very painful wrists. But when I brush her, her butt goes in the air and she'll sit forever while I use it. I do find it extremely helpful for mats and she's one of the hairiest cats we've ever had. I've never been fond of the plastic cheapo pin brushes but I trust things made in Germany very much after spending 8 years there. I highly recommend this brush and others of this line.

Quality brushes
Overall good wooden brushes. The pins are anti-static and don't break the hair. Highly recommended for hair coats.

Groomer recommended brush
My groomer recommended this brush to me. My dog has had issues with matting in the past, but this brush has really helped to prevent the issue from recurring. Recommend.

Changed from a 5 to a 4 after a month of very rare use :(
TBD if this brush holds up or becomes a 1 star. I love some of the Christensen products I've used (the slicker is the bomb). I got this for use after the slicker and wanted to love it, and did initially. But I looked at it yesterday and saw a prong fell out. Sounds like a small thing, and it would be if I had not paid $70 for this dog brush.

Great brush! Goes through hair like bu-tah.
I have the Christian baby slicker and loooove it! Great for mats on my Shih Tzu. However, I wanted a more gentle brush to use for everyday. This is a great solid brush. There IS a difference between pin brushes just like the slickers. (I used it on my thin, easily matted hair and it didn’t pull anything out. I turned around and ordered one for me)!
