Great for young kids!
My 5 year old wakes up every morning so excited to update this calendar. He loves organizing all the different magnets and putting up activities/holidays for the day. It’s a great way to get your kids to learn about holidays, days of the week, weather, and more!

Very engaging
Very engaging for my 18m old who loves to learn! He loves going over his days of the week and the other magnets enhance the experience. Updating it is something he looks forward to every day. This is something he can definitely grow with and the two mats give more options for use as he gets older.I do wish the hands on the clock were not a sticker as he has been pulling it off since we got it. That's my only negative but doesn't make me give it less than 5 stars.

Great but not updated
We are having a lot of fun using this calendar. It's great for learning and interaction. It's thick foam is sturdy and the magnets are strong. The only thing is it is not updated. We have magnets for the years 2020 and 2021 which we are obviously unable to use. Also because it hasn't been updated there isn't a Juneteenth holiday magnet. All other major holidays are included. They did include blank magnets and dry erase markers so you can make your own. That is definitely a plus! All in all I would recommend this product. It has flaws, but there are work arounds. The company should update the product though.

Buy it!
We've only had this for less than a week so far, but already my 8 year old is learning more about what order days come in. He is also learning about how to plan activities for the day. We love it! He is in an online academy and everyday his teacher asks what day and month it is and what day tomorrow is. He didn't always know and that's how I came to know that he needed to learn more about keeping track of what day it is and keeping track of time and planning activities. His favorite part is setting the time with the clock, changing his mood, and the weather.Right now we have it on the front of out dishwasher, but I am planning on reorganizing the magnets and reward chart on our refrigerator to put it there. I will post pictures then.It does come with some holidays that we won't use, but it is inclusive in other cultures and traditions, so I'm sure that other families will love to have a Kwanza, Hanukkah, and Canada Day (Melissa and Doug is a Canadian company ..). There are also blank magnets to write your own activities, holidays, and moods on.If you're looking for a calendar to teach your kiddo about the days, months, and time then go ahead and buy! I was looking at pocket calendars similar to like what is in a Kindergarten classroom, and even considered printing and laminating my own (eek!) But I am so glad that I decided on this one.I hope my review has been helpful. I will update if my opinion on this calendar changes.

Perfect for a Morning Station
This was the perfect addition/highlight for our morning station. My little guy is on the spectrum and having his day laid out before him to review in the mornings is crucial for a productive day so this calendar is amazing for us! I have a hanging day “chart” that I would have to write out all of our activities on and insert them into the chart, which was time consuming, but this calendar has almost all of our activities already on magnets, and if not there are blank magnets for you to write your own activities on. The picture doesn’t show all the magnets (there are A LOT) and they are very sturdy. My guy has already tried bending them. They are a little dented but still work. I also love that you have the option to hang it on the wall or put it on the fridge or another magnetic surface. The magnetic force isn’t super strong but strong enough. However we chose to hang it in the wall as our fridge has side by side freezer and fridge so not a lot of width to work with. They also have the years up to 2025 so we can use those for the next couple of years before needing a blank magnet for the year. If you’re deciding between two calendars this is definitely the one.

Great Learning Tool for dates, days, months
My 3-year-old loves this calendar. While he doesn't always agree with me on what date it is (he seems to think he can turn back time, he especially loves November 10th), he loves updating the calendar, singing his days of the week, months of the year and talking about the weather. Certainly great for cementing the concepts they go over at circle time in preschool everyday. Looking forward to using it for time, emotions, holidays and better understanding of activities going forward when he is ready. It has already withstood a lot of abuse; he throws the letters around, wrote on all of them with dry erase markers (they erased easily). The markers it came with are dried up and in the trash but they were good while they lasted (until he left the caps off overnight. He is a notorious destroyer of dry erase markers but I just discovered dry erase crayons which is life-changing!).It includes a large number of holidays and activities, good thing it came with a bag to put the excess in. He loves matching the date numbers to the clock and using them to count down songs like the 12 Days of Christmas.I got a little bit frustrated with the cords that hold the two pieces of the board together. I could never get them even and they would continually fall open and fall down. Our front door is metal so I actually have it stuck to the inside of the door in our living room so no need for the cords anymore. Very glad I purchased it!
