Love it, auto centering, such a nice feeling to not have to mess with the belt all the time.If it is drifting, just pause work a moment and let the belt auto center.Instead of paying with some dial or bolt everyminute and for eternity.Had my last one for tem years. This one should last that long.

Super great tool
I am shocked with how well this does. I've been working on a door for 2 hours the belt hasn't slipped hasn't broken and is doing a fantastic job. It works just as good as some $200 belt Sanders I had in the past. I definitely endorse this product

Performs well for the money; though, the dust filter is somewhat inadequate.
Performs well for the money. Gave only 4 stars because I agree with others that the dust filter is a bit of a pain to clean, and it tends to clog after which it doesn't take in the sawdust very well. Still, I'm happy with it overall.

Love this sander.
I tried a few different belt sanders and I found this one. For the price you can’t beat it, works perfectly. I returned a Milwaukee M18 because it was so heavy and bulky. I’m all about cordless, but this is worth the sacrifice! It’s light, the pressure sensor is a great feature, and the belt stays on just where you need it to. dusk collection works well.

Best in class for price after "free" modification
I got it on sale, great product for the price there's only one con well two (1st) the light system for pressure is a gimmick when you've used beltsanders or any sander you figure out the "correct" pressure to apply it's not rocket science but the elephant in the room, depending on what types of Wood this could be catastrophic there is a small piece of plastic (casting? or left intentionally?) that is higher than the plenum "belt" and can and will catch, Mar, dent or scratch your work.... But with a utility blade and 10 seconds you can turn this belt sander into a great deal. (After modification) Highly recommend for the price (comes with 80 grit belt 3x18)

Good sander
This a great sander. Just bought my 2nd. I burnt the 1st one up sanding a couple 10-12 hour days in a row and not really taking care of it. I didn’t expect to make it through that but it did. I like the look and feel of it. It’s robust and i like like the sanding surface

Value for the money
Skil belt sander worked pretty good for what I needed it for. Used it to sand a solid hickory bar top and matching floating shelves. Started with 40 grit, then 60, then 80, then 120. Each time I used it I got the same results. The 120 grit belt worked the best. With the 120 it actually sanded more off in less time than any of the 40, 60, or 80. The attached filter captured a lot of dust, but its a belt sander so there was also a lot that didn't make it into filter cannister. It was definitely worth the price I paid for it.
