Not too shabby!
I bought this with very low expectations based on the reviews. When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. For the price, it's fairly awesome! Yes, it's plastic, and yes, the jewel/ball thing at the top is just stickers, but to me (and I'm pretty picky about costumes....I paid over $400 to have a custom Maleficent costume made) it works nicely. It's only flimsy if you're planning to really use it as a walking stick or cane, or if you plan to use it to pole vault. Overall, I'm very happy with it. It completed the look nicely and was the perfect size for me (I'm 5'9").

Pay for what you get
Bought this to put together a wizard outfit for Halloween and it did a great job at that! Someone recognized it as a maleficent staff so it must be true to the movie. Gets delivered in two pieces that screw together. Definitely not structural so don't expect it to support any weight but it makes a great prop

Perfect Addition for Witches Costume
Decided to add this to my Halloween decor this year. Usually I use brooms to my witches display, but this year I’m going to try something a little different. This staff is easy to assemble, comes in two pieces, and should made a nice addition to my large witch. It’s approximately 5 feet tall and lightweight. It is more suitable for an adult, 14+, rather than a child due to its length when screwed together but if you only use the top portion I believe a child could use this as part of a costume.

Buy a curtain rod instead
So this is literally just plastic. That is good because it's lightweight bit definitely not $28 worth of plastic. Most costume props are cheap plastic anyway so I can lice with that but buyer beware. It's fine to mark up plastic because of the design but this is too much. But what I REALLY dislike about this product.... the photos by seller make the jewel on topof the Septer look like an actual stone (or at least painted and carved out plastic). It even looks like it can be lit up. A lot of customer photos made it look better than it really is too. What is it really? Poorly glued on paper. The material doesn't bother me as much as how cheaply it is glued on, mine just arrived (a day early, that's a pro) and is stil in the bag but I can see white pieces from where the paper edges are already peeling off).So it's hard for me to say if it's worth it.... I won't be returning it because of the hassle but you might be better off using a long twig off a branch of a tree or even a curtain rod with a ball end. It will be prettier and cheaper.

Great staff for other costumes in addition to Maleficent!
Don't get me wrong....I love Maleficent! She is my favorite Disney character of all time! When I searched for a staff to use for an Eleven Sorceress costume I was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon this gem! While it's plastic and comes in two pieces (so it may seem cheap) that just really means it's light-weight and easy to travel with which is PERFECT! It looks great, too!

Elegant touch.
I’m 5’11, I felt it was a perfect length and proportional to my body. When the package arrives, the staff is in two pieces and you have to screw it together. This item is only a prop and CANNOT support your weight, if you think it’s a fun walking stick, you’re gonna break it and be mad at yourself.

Unusable and poorly made
The media could not be loaded. Just got it and feel it's worthless. The plastic "screw" to secure both parts together won't securely tighten; even when attempting to tighten to a decent point it's very loose and unstable. Thoughts of taping wouldn't work as (most likely) the whole wand would need to be thickened and heavily taped. The only way this could be used is as a hand wand- any pressure put on it, such as using a staff, would most likely break it.

Perfect for Costume
Well made prop for maleficent or Audrey costume. Comes in 2 pieces and my kids still like playing with it as well.
