Amazing more education we didnt get through schooling

Bought as gift for grandma. She’s really into foraging and such. This mushrooms book tells you which fungi is best for treating certain diseases and illnesses. It’s not really about what they look like or where exactly you may find these mushrooms. So it’s not the best, but it’s definitely interesting.

Really good comprehensive book

Not a field guide and does not touch on entheogenic uses of mushrooms, but a practical guide outlining the most studied and available medicinal mushroom uses, preparation and dosages - whether to support the immune system, slow the ageing process, or combat numerous cited forms of cancer and other degenerative diseases.A well researched, descent little book.

I've been interested in the different uses for mushrooms for a while now and have been looking for a good source of information.I really like how this book is laid out. It contains a wealth of information on mushrooms via an introduction on mushroom biology, the history of their use and detailed information on individual mushrooms and their various uses. I have been particularly impressed by the evident display of knowledge and use of up to date research and reference material.The book has allowed me to take my interest further and I have begun to use the information to purchase and preopare various different mushroom types. I would really recommend the book.

Such a lovely and informative book. I like the way that the contents page is divided into ailments so it's easy to find the suitable mushroom. However, I am disappointed to find the pictures of mushrooms are in black and white.
