I am absolutely amazed by what I have seen thus far and really pleased with this product.
I bought three of these based on the amount of positive reviews. I've set up two of them with the third to be positioned later. After watching up to ten or more neighbourhood cats sit and lounge on and then spray a disgusting long-lasting stink onto my front door, plant pots as well as leave piles of pooh on my lawn - I decided to buy this product.I've watched and waited to see for myself and today( earlier this morning) I saw an amazing reaction.I set the box to 3 and maximum intensity and the first cat came unsuspectingly up the drive but when it came out from behind the back end of the car it hit the 'zone'. It appeared to stop dead in its tracks, turn and run straight back down the drive and away down the street. I was totally amazed! The next cat appeared about an hour later - it walked toward the box, got closer and closer and I started to worry before slowly turning and walking away. A third cat carefully avoided both boxes by going around the back of both of them, this gave me an idea about repositioning one of them so the cat will be unable to avoid the beam in future.I am absolutely amazed by what I have seen thus far and really pleased with this product. What I've learned is that cats are all individually affected, some find the sound unbearable, while others can tolerate it better but it would appear to have at least some affect on all of them in varying degrees. I've only seen one set of paw prints in my lawn and I'm convinced it is the cat that devised the idea to go behind the box so when I reposition it that will stop that little rouse.I've just seen these are out of stock - I'm not surprised - I'm going to buy some for the back as soon as they're back in stock.Highly recommended.

TWO YEAR UPDATE
HAS NOT STOPPED THE CATS.Difficult to quantify how effective these are. I bought 4 to 'cover' all the spots where cats had been fouling the garden. Difficult to know if they work as noise is inaudible to us. The strobe light triggering with movement is not consistent over distances and amount of movement (walking and waving of arms). After a month became apparent that one had useless batteries. Emailed seller twice but no response so have replaced batteries myself. Winter now and fewer cats and little sun to recharge the batteries. We will try again this year. Noise free winter for cats.TWO YEAR UPDATE - 3 of the 4 devices definitely do not work, brought indoors over winter, new batteries installed. The batteries are not being charged by sunlight, and one does not work even when all have been charged via USB or separate battery charger, so maybe motion sensor is faulty in that one.CATS HAVE RETURNED - though seen not so frequently. Extra top of fence and wall devices may be partly responsible for this.CAT POO ON HANDS OR SHOES WHEN GARDENING IS NOT NICE.THIS WAS AN EXPENSIVE AND VERY TIME CONSUMING EXPERIMENT - IMPROVEMENT IS NEEDED WITH THIS PRODUCT IF IT IS TO BE TRIED AGAIN.

This works - I have the videos to prove it :-)
I thought either next doors dog or a rhino was messing in our front garden right by our front door, so I invested in a wireless security camera and caught our own cat dumping there early in the morning. Having identified the culprit I bought two of these based on the reviews and planned to use the other in our back garden where there is also a growing pile of turds. Within a couple of days I had our cat on video sneaking round the front of this device and messing in the same area, but realised that may have been because I had deliberately set the sensitivity very low to try to not trigger is as we come in and out of the house. So I turned up the sensitivity and the very next day had a hilarious video of our rather large cat trotting over to it's usual dumping ground only to trigger this device and have it bolting up the driveway. Wondering if I can use a pair of these devices to bounce the cat like a pinball into next doors garden for it's daily ritual. The only thing to be aware of is that although at 46 I cannot hear this thing when it goes off, my two children, 11 and 15 are a little freaked out by it because they can. You can adjust the frequency of the scare noise it gives off which I did yesterday, turning it up until my daughter couldn't hear it anymore. But then early this morning I was alerted by the security camera to a certain black and white furball sniffing around next our front door with impunity and assuming the squat position whilst I could see this thing going off behind it. Needless to say I've now turned it back to number 3 - so no more number 2 :-)
