My son is 5 and the medium fits nicely. I did measure his head and compare it to the size chart to be sure. He has tubes in his ears, so these came recommended by his doctor to use along with Putty Buddies. He wasn’t confident going under water with only Putty Buddies in, and this ear band helped to make them feel more secure in his ears. They work very well at keeping the Putty Buddies in place and the water out. The down side is that because the band going across the forehead is so wide, he can’t wear his face mask with it (the type of goggles that cover your eyes and nose), which is his preference, because you can’t get a good seal on the forehead. You can wear regular eye goggles though. It is also so tight and wide that it squishes his eyebrows down into his eyes making him look mad all the time. 😂 And If he’s not careful about the placement, the Velcro strap will rub a red raw sore spot on the back of his neck. Overall, while there are some inconveniences, this ear band has been successfully keeping the Putty Buddies in and the water out.

Both parts of the Velcro fastener come undone after using for awhile. The sewing holding them on comes undone and unravel.

My son has had several tube surgeries. He has to wear plugs every time he swims. The problem with the plugs is every time they get wet they fall out. The head band was able to keep the plugs in his ears and give him confidence to put his head under the water again.

I put the headband on. My five year old grandson and sized according to the chart It snapped over his ear but does not stay on particularly if he wants to swim to bottom of pool It maybe somewhat effective if he stays in a straight line but nogg th if he swims to bottom of pool

I bought this because my daughter hates getting water in her ears at swim class. She Loves this headband! It didn’t move or slide down and helped keep water out of her ears.

I use this in my water aerobics class. It helps to keep most of our hair dry. I do wish that the band covered more of my head. It keeps my hair dry at the base of my neck and neck. With people splashing water, the top of my head gets wet.

We went to a water park and the band stayed in place on waterslides and the wave pool.
