While looking for a wide-range zoom for my upcoming trip to Europe, I found this lens for an excellent price. The lens was already well known for its image quality, and I couldn't care less about its rather hefty weight because Oly Pen-F that I intend to use this lens with is already a heavy camera.The product arrived on time, and it was in a much better condition than I had expected. No visible scuffle marks or dents outside, very smooth zoom and focus operation, and most importantly, very clear optics. I took it out for a quick neighborhood shoots, and the resulting images were very much satisfactory with good contrast and decent sharpness. For the very best image quality, I would use my DSLR and a prime, but I bought this lens for a different purpose. This will be the only lens that I will take to the trip.Note that I kept the O.I.S. turned off because Pen cameras have in-body image stabilization. For that, having O.I.S. on-off switch outside the lens is a good thing.

This lens is one of the biggest rivals for the 14-150mm ZUIKO lens from Olympus, while also offering image stabilization that is built-in and very fast speeds of auto focusing. While it does have these advantages, the price and the weight are also bigger. The best choice would be to buy this lens together with the DMC-GH1/2 camera from the same manufacturer, as part of the kit.

Outstanding lens, very sharp at all focal lengths, no vignetting, no undesirable effects, just a fine, sharp picture in all conditions. Versatile, suitable for various types of photography, including nature, sports and portrait. Its optical stabilization also works great.
