Better than my 20-years' worth of custom nightguards!
I have very severe TMJ. When I first saw these -- how tiny they look -- I was taken aback. How could these possibly work in my big adult mouth?! Well, they do, and beautifully! I bought these to replace the 3rd custom night guard I'd lost in 20 years (each one costing over $300.!) I used to unconsciously spit out the custom guard(s) during the night while I slept because they felt alien and made it hard for me to swallow my spit as I slept. This material NEVER smells, NEVER has a taste, and and NEVER gets gooey, i.e. it doesn't feel or taste toxic, like so many of the mouth guards on the market do. You have a choice of 2 positions to wear them. I wear them with the center front notch "down," like a V. My back teeth bite down on it very comfortably -- a good solid squish that's actually almost fun to do! I don't spit them out in my sleep, either!Between uses, I rinse it under plain water in the morning, then soak it in a cup of plain lukewarm water. I don't know if the soaking is necessary or not, but I do it anyway. Every few weeks, I add about 1/4 of a gentle cleaning tab for mouthpieces (not dentures!) and soak it for 15 minutes or so to get rid of germs.Even though they're called 'disposable,' I've never had one wear out yet in any way, or fail to feel and look and work like new. They help my TMJ better than the custom ones ever did! These are a godsend to me!!

Surprisingly Awesome
I don't usually write reviews but this one is worth it. I suffer from TMJ due to occasional "stress grinding" and have used a variety of mouth guards, gum, essential oils and other homeopathic remedies to help with the pain. I found mouth guards to be bulky and uncomfortable, and oftentimes would find it on the floor or behind my bed the next morning (gross). After a recent flare up, I found myself looking for relief and I stumbled across these. I thought, disposable might be better since I don't need all the time, and would be an easy solution for traveling without the worry of storing or cleaning. After suffering for about a week in pain I decided to give these a try forgetting I'd bought them and guys.... Holy crap! This is by far the "leanest", most comfortable guard I've ever worn! My mouth is on the small side and it fits PERFECT. I woke up and it was exactly where I put in when I went to bed and you could definitely see wear from my clenching. This morning I just popped it out and into the trash with no mess to scrub or soak. My jaw pain is SIGNIFICANTLY reduced. The only discomfort is it feels weird to bite down after taking it out, but I assume will ease in a couple hours since my jaw is already so tense. Anyway, I highly recommend for TMJ, grinding or clenching. Super ease, clean and effective for such a small and simple product. Will re-buy when I'm out.

White plastic goo in my mouth in morning
We've used these for several years now, and have always been happy with them. I tend to clench and grind my teeth in my sleep, so these really do the job of protecting them. However, the last few(?) months I've noticed I often have a glob of white plastic goo in my mouth in the morning. Although I try to wipe it out, I know I've swallowed a lot over the months. I don't remember that in the past years - did they change a formulation or did I just not notice it? Anyway, with all the concern about microplastics in our bodies, I'll try searching for something else when it's time to reorder. So I really don't know what star rating to give - could be anywhere from 1 to 4.

Grind Teeth, Avoid These
These deserve zero stars and are a perfect way to throw away your money on a product that doesn't work. Strangely made me feel like I was getting indigestion when I tried to wear them. Cheaply made to put more in manufactures wallet while they lighten yours. After trying several otc brands I ended up biting the bullet and getting one professionally made at the dentist. I think I ended up spending over $100 just trying to find a store brand that would work and be comfortable and never did. I wish now I had just purchased it in the beginning but was held back bc I was under the impression that I would be spending a lot of money and be stuck with a guard that was uncomfortable and to bulky to wear. My dentist made guard is a combo of soft and hard material so it is in the middle of the two. My jaw does not ache in the morning from grinding my teeth, the gel on the inside make it a comfortable to wear and perfect grip, it's the perfect height so it does not touch or rub against my gums, it's as thin as it can be without compromising the guard strength, it will last a long time and most importantly I really like to wear it at night.

Doesn't stop grinding but does protect.
I used to use a moldable mouth guard to help with grinding. One that you boil in water and then mold to your teeth. We have a new dog and when these guards fall out of my mouth (which they inevitably do once every week or so), he chews them up. So I was going through a couple of $30 mouth guards a month.I was tired of this, so I purchased these. They work very well as far as I don't wake up when my teeth crash together because this is in the way of that. What they don't do though that the molded guards do is help keep my jaw in proper alignment so I grind less. As a result, these don't cut back on jaw ache like the other type does, but they do help keep my teeth protected. I also feel like they have excessive packaging, and are inherently wasteful because you can only use them for one night unless you want to put yesterday's dry spit back into your mouth. They have these little hollow tubes and I don't think it would be possible to get the spit out of those so you could re-use.If you don't have a dog who will eat your molded guards, I recommend getting a different product. If for some reason you, like me, can't keep a guard for longer than a week or two, these work!

Love these weird little nightgaurds
The very thing that makes them unusual is the thing that makes them comfortable — the little tubes. Super comfortable and great for both grinding and clenching. I love them
