Nice pen.
I like the design of the pen, in that it doesn’t aggravate my arthritis in my hand. Nothing against the Parker refill, but I switched it out with a Fisher Space Pen refill (comes with a Parker adapter). Those negative reviews must have been a fluke, in that I ignored them.

LOVELY
Made in China. Good quality. I gave it as a gift and the person loved it. Nice colors.

Standby, very reliable
I have a lot of pens--fountain pens, roller ball, and felt-tip (I can't stand cheap disposable pens), but the one I use the most for everyday matters is my Parker ballpoint pen, one very similar to this. I bought this particular one for my wife as a gift. The body of the pen is not smooth and nearly has some knurling like a fine double-edge razor, enabling a good, firm grip. The color is pleasant yet a bit muted, which is a good thing. It is striking without being ostentatious. I like the metal tip, and it clicks on and off very well, as a Parker should. I have pens which look good but finding refills is problematic. Never so with Parker; even drugstores have refills, and they're excellent. I wish the box was nicer, since this is a gift; I was surprised that it wasn't more giftable. But most people don't save the box. This is an outstanding pen overall. Because it's a one-piece, one won't worry that the top cap will fly off while writing, and it looks nice in a pocket. This one's a keeper.

No refill included?!?
Pen is as described and nice but mine had no refill which is disappointing.

Do not carry this pen in your top pocket during the summer.
If you work outside during the summer or indoors with no AC, this is NOT the pen for you. If you your job keeps you running ragged all hours of the day and you have a tendency to sweat, this pen will surely disappoint because the gold plating at the tip of the pen corrodes and disappears. Do not carry this pen in your top pocket. Also, they do not keep replacement parts for it around in the event the originals fail.Other than that, it's a pretty good pen but not good enough...at least for me. My advice, save up and buy a MontBlanc. They are QUALITY pens and last forever. I bought three of them back in the late 80s and they are still in mint shape. More important, should you ever need a replacement part due to normal wear and tear (if there is such a thing) they are available. As an update.... Since the beginning of 2022, this pen has continually deteriorated and remains on a downward trajectory. As of today, 9/19/22, this pen is garbage. Definitely save your money and buy a Pelican, Waterman, Montblanc or any Cross that has a metallic or resin barrel and cap finish. You will save yourself a lot of frustration.

Not sure if this is authentic or parker's quality is just declining.
It looks nice but as soon as you touch it, you can already tell it is not the same as the previous IMs. I have been using parker pens for over a decade now and this is the first one I have eve touched that felt so flimsy and cheap.I would need to see the newer ones at the actual stores and compare the difference but for now, my instincts tell me this is a replica of the real ones on the actual site.I had to pay express international shipping because I was excited to have this in my collection, however, I was just disappointed.I included a photo of a parker pen that I have been using and this one and on the clips alone, you could see the difference. There are gaps on this one and the one I've had for a while doesn't. And again, this is much lighter. It is odd to write with a pen so light and there's no balance as you write.

Origin
Poor quality pen, like no other parker, not recommended

Parker in name only
This is not a good pen. The steel portions are hilariously light, the entire interior within is plastic. The threading is the worst offender. Normally plastic threading is whatever, net neutral, but the plastic threading on this pen is under 1mm thick and gives to slight pressure. By comparison, the threading in a G2 Limited is about 1.5-2mm and is sturdy enough that I'm confident it will not be a common fail point. On the IN, it will 100% fail after minimal use. The laquered bottom assembly feels like cheap plastic with a shiny coating. The ink cartridge is not fitted in the interior of the barrel and rattles around, producing a click noise when pen hits paper. This pen is an example of Parker doling out their brand to shoddy manufacturers to pad bottom lines. The IM line is made in China, not France, and uses just enough metal to call it a metal pen with entirely flimsy plastic interior. You will get a better designed, writing, feeling, and manufactured pen for 1/3 the price by getting a G2 Limited, Dr Grip Limited, or Pentel Energel Alloy.
