Made Easy Work of a Tricky Hand Tapping Job
These performed very well for the task I had to perform. I was worried about a tap breaking and ruining the project, but these are solid, and made the threads easily. Sizing is accurate, too, as the fasteners fit perfectly.

A Must for repairing Jeep Control Arms
Had a set of TeraFlex Long arms that had rusted badly sitting in Salt water .. I did not think they where salvageable.. But he TAP was cheep so i thought i would give it a go...Wow was i wrong ...A Bit a Lube and the tap cleaned up the threads so well .. New arms would of been a couple of hundred bucks and this TAP is my new friend, no more cutting off control arms bungs and rebuilding arms ..The best big is this 1.25 x 12TPI is used in All Rough Country, Rubicon Express and Jonny Joints so very little money for a great tool... Just add a 1 inch Socket to the top and fits ya impact

OK quality. Did the job well but not for the long haul. They're a very good value for limited use.
I bought the set for a one-time use of this odd size (M13x1.5). Price was right at about 1/3 the cost of other taps but the steel isn't top quality. The worked well to cut the threads I needed in cast 6061 aluminum. They came out clean, sharp and accurate but I don't think the taps will hold up for the long haul. They're a very good value for limited use. If you need to cut a lot of threads or plan to keep them for years, you'd be better off spending more and getting better quality tools.

Garbage. Not even accurate threads.
I'll start with the three tap set that is supposed to have a bottom tap in it. I got two taper taps and a plug tap. I really needed a bottom tap, it's why I bought this set in the first place.Second, I was waiting on my m10x1.0 hardware to show up, so I went ahead and drilled and tapped out my crankshaft for my flywheel bolts with these. Worked great, except that the thread pitch seemed off when I tried the bolts. Turns out these M10x1 marked taps are a perfect match to a 24tpi or 1.058 pitch. Garbage. And now I probably have ruined the crankshaft in my new engine with them.Stay far far far Away from these!!Update. Turns out these taps marked 10mx1, two of them were actually 3/8-24. I guess trust but verify everything anymore.

Works as Described
I'm fairly new to the tap and die world but doing more custom work on my motorcycles has forced me to step up my game. Consequently, I had to learn about the different types of taps and how they are used. This type of tap is designed to cut threads all the way to the bottom of the hole you're cutting threads into. It's especially useful (at least in my case) for tapping shallow holes where every thread counts in order to secure a fastener. I've been able to use this tap a few times now and so far it has performed great. Pair it with good cutting oil and a lot of patience and you can get great threads on even some of the hardest of metals.
