Q: Need to make fruit maracas for my music class. Are they hollow to add a fill (plug w glue gun)? If not, have any suggestions? (Remo are ~$7 a piece!)

They are hollow. They seem to be quite tough especially the purple grapes and banana.

Q: Do these come in a cardboard box? (aside from the Amazon shipping box obviously)

The basket was packaged nicely, but I don’t recall a box other than the shipping box. They have held up well over a year.

Q: Can you wash these in the sink with dish soap?

Yes. They're just made of plastic and they're hollow inside. Washing them would totally work.

Q: What kind of plastic?

I am not an expert but a really tough kind. I never saw tooth marks in any of them.
