Can I mount with adhesive tape on a cabinet door? I'm not using it for knives, just small tools, nothing heavy.

I believe it would work for that. Love this grip strip, I may buy another, I’m very surprised how well it holds , and I have many knives on it, think it be good for small tools!!

I wouldn’t. The magnets are adequate but if one knife slides you have the potential of having a pile of knives in your soup Also. Screws don’t (or at least in my case) didn’t sit flush so the magnets have a bit of an angle. Will be replacing the screws.

Can I take this with me in checked baggage on a plane?

Not with knives attached. TSA gets testy about that.
