Yes that’s all I’ve been using. Just make sure it’s the marker paint that shoots vertically

Yes you can, the product is designed for this type of sprays.

will this with marking paint work for making four square game board?

Yes, you can do that. You will need to also pick up inverted marking paint. If you want it temporary, look for chalk paint or water based paint. If you want it to last a while, look for solvent based paint. I would recommend snapping a chalk line first to make the lines straight, then using the wheel attachment to follow the chalk line. If you want this to be permanent and look professional, I would look for a parking lot line painter, or a sports field line painter with paint made for parking lots.
