⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Brings Knives Back to Life! This sharpening stone exceeded my expectations. As a chef, I need my knives to be razor-sharp, and this stone delivers. The grit combo (coarse and fine) is perfect for restoring dull blades and finishing with a polished edge. After just a few passes, my knives were slicing through tomatoes like butter. The stone stays in place during sharpening thanks to the non-slip base, and the soaking process is simple. It doesn’t wear down too quickly, which shows the quality of the material. It’s a great tool for maintaining knives regularly instead of waiting until they’re completely dull.Highly recommended for anyone who values their blades—this is a must-have for any serious

A Solid Set of Wet Stones
Maybe you are like me and got a hand-me down set of decent knifes but they happen to be dull. I bought this set as after learning a few things about stone grades. The set covers the full range in only four grades. Going from 400 to 1000, then 3000. Not sure I will use the 8000 but its certainly nice to have for polishing. So for folks know little about stone grades 400 is for very dull knifes to work in a new edge. 1000 will take you to a decent edge to cute the typical things like tomatoes. 3000-4000 will refine the edge a bit more. 6000-8000 will polish the edge. Also keep in mind that the quality of the metal will only go so far with these grades. Quality metal will work well across the range. most people could probably get by with the 400,1000,3000. Anyway, this kit is a great value. We get a nice range of wet stones, the leveling stone, and the knife guide. It also comes with bamboo base and rubber bottom for non slip sharpening sessions. Lastly, the both two sides stone come with a rubber holder which is a nice touch for placing into the bamboo base. I have only used a few times but overall seems to work well for my home kitchen purposes. The pros may go for more fancy branded stones, but I think this is great kit and value. Would recommend for basic home use. I am thinking something like this would be great for travel in a smaller size since every condo vacation rental I have gotten the knifes super dull.

Has everything you need to do a professional sharpening job!
If you are a cook-for-your-friends type or a commercial chef, you know that a dull knife can be the most dangerous tool in your kitchen drawer. Having to push harder to make a cut with a dull knife can rsult in a dangerous slip and serious injury. That's why keeping your knives sharp on a regular basis is so important, plus it allows you to make very thin slices with ease. This kit has everything you need to do a professional sharpening job; 4 different sharpening stones with grits 300/400/1000/8000, a sturdy bamboo stone holder with a silicone grip pad, a flattening stone to maintain the flatness of your sharpening stones, and most importantly for me, a knife angle guide which slips on the back of your knife to maintain an approximate 20 degree angle to the stone while you sharpen. I was able to do four of my good knives in less than 20 minutes, and sharpening time gets even shorter if you maintain a regular schedule. The only fault I found was the same as most products from China; miniature 4X5 inch instructions. I blew mine up to 8-1/2X11 by scanning and using a photo editor.TIP: go to YouTube and watch the many knife sharpening videos. Be sure to soak the stones for 15-20 mins. before use, and do your sharpening in a place which will toilerate water spills; you need to spray wet the stone with water while using, and the water and slurry can get messy on a countertop.:

Love the non-slip base.
Great for sharpening big knives, because you have great control over the process. The stone itself is made well and the non-slip base makes it stable.

Respect your knives, and they will respect you.
Great kit to help you learn the sharpen your knives. Listen, it's a knife, you can't break it with a wet stone. You'll either do a bad job sharpening it or a good job. If you do a bad job, then you keep working until you do a good job. Just keep in mind this is not a clean process. It's messy. It's wet. Just watch some YouTube videos to learn the general technique and this kit will get you the rest of the way.

Definitely a cheap option.
Meh. I bought this looking for a lower priced stone than a Norton. I was absolutely successful in that endeavor. The quality howeverr, is lacking.I don't expect the rougher grit to last long at all. The stone lost more of itself than it seemed to cut from the blade I was sharpening and left a pretty good sized valley in the center of the stone. The size is CONSIDERABLY smaller than desired for sharpening knives and is not even close to a Norton.I will not buy this agin.
