Worth installing
I had the smallest peep hole and no glass to see out front of house so I ordered the next size up peep hole and installed it thru the existing hole which had to be enlarged. Door is 1 -1/2 " thick with a foam inter core. Careful when drilling thru the thin metal door layers if you have this type door because the drill bit might bind and twist the metal therefor not getting a nice looking job and weather tight outside unless you use caulking, but still it might look shabby if not drilled clean. I also installed my second peep on my kitchen door leading out into the garage. I was concerned reading about peep holes on Amazon reviews where people were complaining about optical quality. I had no such problem with these peeps and I do get a bigger view which was what I was looking for. PS can't beat the price for a quality peep hole that works well.

Good quality, inexpensive, installation EZ (but you might need a corded drill)
We wanted to install a door viewer on the front door to our new home. After a little research about viewing angles, optics, size of hole needed, door dimension, privacy, etc. I selected this one. It was delivered quickly and took all of 20 minutes to install, including vacuum clean-up of the wood chips from drilling the necessary 5/8" hole. Thanks to other reviewer comments, I also put a small bead of silicone sealant at both ends to ensure a water-tight (rainproof) seal. One other note: my 18V cordless drill didn't have enough torque to drill the hole using a wood bit, so I had to dig out my old, corded drill to do the job. Recommended product.

Normal placement can see Full door mat.
I was surprised how wide angle this is, I'm over 6 feet tall so I placed it fairly high up on my door, and I can see my FULL door mat peeking through it. 100% as expected! :)
