Finally, a dependable antenna
I was a bit apprehensive at first with this one, since it costs a pretty penny and the listing seemingly couldn't be bothered to even include a good picture of it, but it seems my worries were unfounded.I've been searching for a good tri-band antenna for a long time, and had become frustrated with things like the Nagoya NA-320A, which seem to be too narrowband and badly tuned to work well. This one gets excellent SWR on the 2m and 1.25m bands, and good SWR on 70cm, making it the best I've seen on both of the lower bands and more than usable on the upper one. (Most multi-band antennas favor UHF, so seeing less than perfect performance there on this antenna didn't bother me too much - it's worth it for the good VHF.)

Great Antenna!
I've been using this antenna on my Kenwood Tri-Band (TH-F6A) for about 15 years. My original finally broke where the plastic round base which connects to the radio meets the antenna itself. That happened after 15 years of use (about a year ago). Apparently, people complained to Diamond about that part and the new antenna actually has a thick rubber sheath in that same area now! This makes the antenna way-more durable than it used to be, without any performance issues. Yes, it's more expensive than the others that are out there. However, if it took 15 years before it was no longer functional, the price is fine by me. I expect this replacement antenna to last at least another 15 years - if not, more - because of the added protection it came with. You can't go wrong with this antenna and the performance is outstanding.NOTE: If you're trying to use it on a Baofeng radio - don't bother. Don't get me wrong - I have a couple of those radios for FMRS/GMRS (yes, I'm licensed) as well as for amateur radio, but those radios don't have enough sensitivity or filtering (IMO) to support this type of antenna. Besides, you'd need to purchase an adapter and that will give you signal loss! Yaseu, Kenwood, Alinco or any of the other big name radios you can put this antenna on and enjoy!

Versatile antenna.
I have years of use to enhance the stock antenna using a Yaesu VX-6R, and now I find it works very nicely with my Kenwood TH-D75. Both HT’s are MARS modified.

Does a great job in reaching the repeaters that are missed by the standard antenna.
I recieved this product damaged. the top part of the antenna was bent, but it still works great.

Great antenna for wide band RX, 40 to 512 MHz.
Great antenna for the Kenwood TH-D74A. This antenna provides operation on all the TX bands of the TH-D74A. It works good on the Yaesu VX-6/7/8, but then you can't transmit on 6 meters. So I recommend a different antenna for the VX-6. Unless you don't mind not being able to use part of your TX bands. That would drive me nuts. I notice a marked improvement on the receive clarity and being able to receive and transmit a greater distance. However, I noticed other users' reviews stating this antenna is not any good at RX below the air band (108 MHz). I find this to be incorrect. This antenna works great on RX below the air band. I am able to receive local and distant CHP California Highway Patrol at 42 MHz very clear, no problem. So my experience is this antenna is excellent for wideband receive. My radio only goes up to 512 MHz and it receives great up in that end of the band. Thats as high as I've been able to test it. I really enjoy this antenna. Highly recommended. 👍👍

Probably the best replacement ever for the Kenwood TH-F6a HT.
This antenna works FAR better than the OEM TH-F6a antenna! Also have the Comet HT-224 which also out performs the OEM antenna, but pales in comparison to the performance of the Diamond SRH320A. At first, I was skeptical of the flexibility but that flex prevents damage to both your radio and the antenna.
