Realistic
Yes, pretty real looking. I use it to scare friends on the golf course. I set it on the side of the cart while they're teeing off. Then when they walk around to get in the cart it scares them every time.

It packs a surprise.
The color might be off, too white for this area, but will startle trespassers near my back gate!

Lifelike!
The media could not be loaded. **Update***I ended up scaring the crap out of myself! Forgot where I laid the thing down and my heart fell to my butt!Ohhh is this going to be fun! Hahaha I looked and looked for a snake that would be lifelike and realistic and man this is it! Living in the desert we are prone to rattlesnakes. I am definitely going to be living this in the back yard and ask my husband to do some yard work to get a reaction. It’s heavy duty and does not feel cheap at all. I got this more as a Halloween scare for a party that we are having, but I think I will get full use of this. I am also curious if I can train my 2 pups to keep away from it, just in case they encounter a real one

Close but no cigar.. not even a cigarette
I like the coiled position. That was a 5 star rating. The coloration of the snake was very weird and no relation to a diamondback rattlesnake. If a bit more effort was given to even come CLOSE to the actual color/markings of a rattlesnake it would be 5stars. Just look at a picture and copy the coloration. It’s not rocket science. Im using it to deter cows from knocking down my electric gate sensor post.. Realism is key unfortunately. Prank gift? If will scare someone at a glance and that is what I will relegate it too.

Good For a Laugh!
I bought this to play practical jokes on people in Iraq and it worked great for that purpose. I dont think it would be fun for a kid, but it was great for the adults. It is not flexible, but I didnt need it to be... I just thought that tidbit would be helpful for the next buyer. The mouth looks fake, of course, and the tail sticks up, but the coloring and markings are really nice, esp for the desert.

Keeps pests away
Put it on the roof at work, keeps the seagulls awayPut on the ground next to the jeep in the desert, keeps the mice away.Put it next to the fence in the backyard, keeps the mice away. Not THAT accurate, but good enough.

So Authentic, we use it to keep birds off our boat canvas!
We have struggled with birds landing on our canvas (black) on our boat and dinghy. We are docked in a marina near a bunch of waterfront restaurants and the birds are always busy stealing mustard, ketchup, and sugar packets when they think no one is looking. Then they fly over to our boat, and others in the marina, to have lunch leaving us various reminders... which on black canvas is really not attractive. We purchased the Diamondback Rattlesnake, the alligator with babies, and an iguana, all which are so realistic, that not a bird will dare to land on our canvas anymore! Truly, it is amazing. Also, these "toys" withstand the salt air and the scorching Florida sun every day without a change in quality or color. They have just enough weight to stay on the canvas with 20+ knot winds. GREAT PRODUCTS!

I love it because the ravens hate it.
If the ravens in my area were writing this review, they would give it zero stars if they could. That's why I'm giving it five stars.I live in a very rural setting where I have to transport my trash to the nearest transfer station, which is 20 miles away. So I have an area on my property where I can store a few bags of trash which I toss in my trailer about once per month to haul it away. This worked great for awhile until the ravens discovered there's little bits of food inside those black bags. They literally rip apart the bags and scatter a huge mess of trash every time I'm not watching out for them and chasing them off. Being smart birds, they know when I leave the cabin and drive into town. When I come back, there's a big mess to clean up. I got tired of that and needed a solution.Just to see if it might work, I purchased this Safari Ltd Incredible Creatures Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake and put it out in my trash storage area. Then I waited patiently to see if the ravens would think it is real. What unfolded was hilarious. The first raven landed about 50 ft. from the storage area and started to walk in. That was until it noticed the snake. It let out a loud warning screech and flew off as fast as it could, cawing loudly until out of sight. The real test was when I had to go away for two days. When I returned, not a single hole was pecked in the trash bags. In fact, since I deployed Mr. Snake, the ravens have not returned at all. Since they are smart birds, I move the snake around every day to give the appearance the it's real. My trashy raven problem is solved!
