Having bought the Strong+ version of the algae glass scraper and having used it for about 6 months now, I had a few really annoying issues.The small external magnet grip was hard to work with and caused wrist and joint pain in my fingers. The magnetic strength is that good on the Strong+ and my aquarium is 6x2x2ft saltwater fish only with live rock and a lot of high intensity lighting. So a lot of work to clean.On a few occasions when traversing from one section of glass to another I have managed to drop the internal magnet by pulling the outside magnet to far away and have it sink to the sand bed... and WRONGLY tried to get it back to the glass by using the external magnet to pull it back. This was stupid. I could of cracked my tank even with 1” thick glass! It made a hell of a whack. Also this damaged the blades and trapped sand between them and the glass. Thankfully I looked before moving it across my glass and limited scratching the surface to just the point of impact.I made this error of judgment because I didn’t want to get wet retrieving the magnet. A error I will never repeat!When I heard about the float attachments I was straight on YouTube checking them out and found them available on Amazon.I saved up a considerable green tint on my glass whilst waiting for the floats to be delivered and have had a good test of them in action now.Happily I can report that the extra surface area on the outside magnet/float makes it much better to work with. No hand cramps at all.I deliberately separated the magnets and the internal section floated to the surface for a easy, much less wet retrieval. This also gives you the chance to shake off any sand before continuing to clean the glass and minimises the risk of a unsightly scratch.So it’s a winner!The combination of the floats with the original algae scraper is brilliant and you can tell Tunze have listened to hobbyists real use opinion. By which I mean, a float isn’t needed on the outside magnet but they made one to help with handling and comfort. I think that is worthy of some appreciation, so well done Tunze!Tip!Always clean from the top of the glass and down to a inch above the sand bed and all the way around the aquarium. Then hit all sections again to clean the the inch you left behind. This greatly reduces any chance of dragging sand in to the more viewable area.The fact is you will clean down into the sand or other substrate type, to clean the algae and this over time will cause the blades to become dull. You will replace them and be fine but DON’T throw the old ones away! Keep them so you only use them to hit the sand/substrate sections in future. This will help provide a much longer lifespan for the new blades because you won’t make them dull cleaning deep down into the sand/substrate anymore.Sorry for the long review. I wanted to be as informative as I could be for the benefit of others and this superbly put together product combination is worth the time 👍

Questo gadget è davvero l'uovo di colombo , finalmente non si mettono più le braccia a mollo per recuperare il manico che 80 volte su 100 cade sul fondo per ogni genere di motivo.Oltre a far galleggiare il manico impedisce anche che si stacchino le parti che contengono le lame ...insomma una vera chicca.Difetti: il primo ,se vogliamo chiamarlo così, e che quando si passa da un lato all'altro della vasca bisogna compiere la manovra con attenzione perché la parte interna tende a risalire i superficie molto velocementeil secondo è che aumenta di molto il volume del manico e magari in alcuni posti dove prima si passava agevolmente ora magari non si passa più o male

Eine tolle Erweiterung für den bisher bekannten Scheibenreiniger. Funktioniert einwandfrei.

Works like it supposed to. But now looks like a big Styrofoam chunk. Could of used spry foam to make my own. Works as it should if you have hand problems where you can't grip things well its perfect.
