Q: Is the device ul listed? is the extinguishing agent toxic or does it leave a residue? how long is the shelf life, i see an expiration date pictured?

It is not UL listed because there is not a catagory it falls under. The dry powder is non toxic and cleans up easily. The effective life date is 6 years from date of manufacture. As you noticed the replace by date is on each unit. Please reach out if any other questions.

Hi... I quote, Activatation Method is "Automatic when there is direct, sustained contact with a flame" per the manufacturer's specifications. They have a good deal of information/documentation on their website, including a test report for the product. Hope this helps... :)

I'd expect the same as used in dry chemical fire ex5.

Q: If an electric burner is left on, pair with a shutoff?

It needs to be an actual fire. They will go off when it reaches a certain temperature..
