Q: Do dowels other than from rockler work? have heard that only dowels from rockler work with this jig.

I bought dowels from elsewhere. They have been a bit of a tight fit, but nothing that a small amount of sanding won’t cure.

Q: Can this be used on any thickness wood or is it designed for a specific dimension such as 3/4 inch?

According to the manual on Rockler site, the material needs to be at least 1/4” thick.

Q: Does it include the drill bits?

The jig does not include drill bits.

Q: do you need the Kreg clamps in order to ue this jig or can you use clamps from other suppliers?

You can use ANY clamp that will properly fit
