Q: does this device only let pressure out of the system or does it allow pressure in also ? how and what you recommend to collect the gas leaving ?

The vacuum relief valve will only allow atmospheric pressure to enter your vacuum system once the vacuum exceeds the setting of the valve. This valve does not include provisions for collecting any gas leaving.

Q: Is there one in 1/8" npt?

I dont kmow off hand I'm sure there has to be. Or get a bushing

There is no scale or gradation on the knob. Adjust the pressure to the desired level by loosening locknut and turning adjustment screw clockwise to increase pressure, counter clockwise to decrease pressure. Tighten locknut when desired pressure is reached.
